Unfortunately, academic inflation and toxic productivity culture has all but done away with this. The effects of this on science advancement will be seen for generations. Slowing down and thinking deeply is essential to solve complex problems and it’s undervalued at every level.
Yesterday was filled with so many happy tears & gratitude at the news that my @NIH_LRP award was funded by @NIMHD This award will is beyond life altering. My undergrad loans allowed me to pursue higher ed, and have often felt insurmountable. I am beyond grateful for the LRP!

So grateful @HeatherDavisPhD & I had the opportunity to write this commentary. We argue self-compassion should be *directly* targeted in ED treatment & propose increasing self-compassion @ treatment start & then reinforcing throughout could have durable, transdiagnostic effects

If your child is diagnosed with an eating disorder while you’re dieting, please STOP.
Not because your diet caused their eating disorder but because healing from an eating disorder is hard enough without the people closest to you engaging in restriction.
