“Social media isn’t a real place.” That’s what I would have said before my accident. But after my accident, I realised that social media really is a place with real people and real feelings. I used to think I was just making videos to motivate people to live a healthy lifestyle. But now, I realise that I wasn’t just making videos. I was impacting lives, spreading joy, and making fitness fun and accessible to people. And in the process, I built a community of people who genuinely love and support what I do. “ No one cares about you on social media.” And honestly, that might be true for some people, but not entirely. Because if it were, I wouldn’t be writing this today. The love, messages, prayers, encouragement, and support I’ve received since my accident have shown me that what we do as creators can go far beyond the content we post. So, to every creator out there, don’t just focus on making content for views, likes, and engagement. Focus on creating things that impact lives, speak to people’s souls, bring joy, and build genuine connections. Because at the end of the day, social media is still you speaking to real people, just through a different medium.
