A huge fanboy moment when I saw Ari Aster on the red carpet after the interview, I can't believe I actually said "Ari the man is here" but yeah... The excitment kinda got the better of me. Also I died a little bit inside when Ari said "good to see you again". #BeauIsAfraid
Sooo today was wild, interview with @AriAster for Beau Is Afraid in MTL... Full interview coming soon on @HorreurQc, but yeah, that was a great experience.

Seen a lot of Nathan For You clips shared around the last few days but haven't yet seen anyone repost the pinnacle of the televisual medium that is Nathan Fielder as Captain Sully landing in the Hudson River as Bring Me to Life by Evanescence plays

The build-up and the punchline is an all-timer. A+

It's messy, but for all its issues it compensates with amazing visuals and a third act that goes unexpectedly metal.
Silent Hill (2006) is the definition of being trapped into a nightmare. I loved the detailed production design, the immersive score and the eerie atmosphere. There's a couple of things that annoyed me but it can be truly scary at times and that's exactly what I was looking for.

I never played the games, but a lot of video games element translate well to the screen. My main issues are with the dialogue, exposition and some of the acting. That being said I had a blast with the world building, the mythology and the spooky vibes. It's a bit overlong.

I don't do my annual Halloween marathons anymore, but today felt like a fall day with the rain, the wind, the colors and it made me want to watch a horror movie. I picked: 2006's Silent Hill (never saw it before)

A bit of a bombshell if I may say so, but I'm down.
Steven Soderbergh is set to direct the remainder of ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’. Him and Reeves will work together and remain in communication until filming has ended, with Reeves taking over post-production duties when ready. (Source: Deadline)

I hope he gets so attached to the material that he decides to turn it into a feature film and realizes NOBODY cares if he makes more than 10 films. Just keep doing movies man, you don't have to keep chasing your magnum opus. I said what I said.

I remember when the script for The Hateful Eight leaked he decided to kill the movie... Then he started doing table reads and did a full 180 because he loved it so much. Please keep doing that, thank you. Sincelery yours, Matt.

He also subtly uses a rat at the end to represent the rats in the film.
Martin Scorsese subtly used the letter “X” to foreshadow which characters would eventually die in The Departed (2006).

Robert Eggers doing a Romeo & Juliet movie was not on my bingo card.
Robert Eggers explains why he is directing a new ‘ROMEO & JULIET’ movie: “After ‘Werwulf’ I was writing another horror movie and it got so dark again that I was like, ‘I need a break,’ so I’ll just do something about 2 teenagers killing themselves.”

I'm a big fan of Clint's "Get Off My Lawn: The Movie", haven't watched it in years but it's typical Clint filled with one liners, lean and clean directing. It's funny because I moved a year ago from my childhouse place and I use to have a neighbor exactly like this character.

"Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while that you shouldn't have fucked with? That's me." is a classic line. But Clint Eastwood's delivery deserves all the praise as well, it's almost as if he wrote himself for the character...
