Highly recommend it! It goes very very low level. Really enjoyed it!
(RTs hugely appreciated)
One piece of feedback I receive often is folks want to dig deep into the Go language and most content is only surface level.
Over a year ago, I reached out to @func25 as he just kept writing the most amazing deep Go blogs I had ever read (I'll link to some of my favourites in the next tweet)
I am very proud to share, after a year of hard work, we are now ready to welcome to the world your new favourite Go book The Anatomy of Go, Launching in early access right now: bytesizego.com/books/anatomy…
We decided to launch it in early access as this book is going to be long and we want to ensure we take our time in editing it - the initial draft is over 700 pages. You won't find another book on Go that goes to the depth that this one does.
The first 3 chapters are available right now and clock in around over 150 page.
By purchasing it today, you'll get it at a discount price and you'll get every new chapter as it's released, which we will aim to do every 2-3 weeks or so going forward.
We'll let you know when they're available, and you'll simply be able to download them from byteSizeGo in any format you like.
This early access pricing will not last. Support the creation of your next favourite Go book by grabbing a copy today!
Once you have, please share with us your feedback!
We can't wait to hear what you think :)

Christmas present for @FreifunkMUC.
2x25G in Munich. Thanks to Inter.Link, EMC Home of Data and @flexOptix 🎉🥰❤️🚀.
@flexOptix bringt 100+ Gbit intern!

Building #backend apps with #Go is amazing, but production-grade apps need a lot of boilerplate and complexity (ex: config management, #observability instrumentation, ...)
Yokai #framework solves this: you focus on your app logic, it handles the rest.

Kudos to @fluxcd on the flawless migration to V2.x
Finally upgraded my homelab clusters after all clusters at work were fine (I know I know, next time the other way around 😂)

Hey, we are in 2024. IPv6 exists since more than a decade, and you're unprepared because you didn't want to. Now it's not free anymore in AWS and you're in hurry. Not the fault of IPv4 depletion or IPv6 learning curve you didn't embrase. @noIPv6
When @Docker support gets back to you, linking the "good explanation on what is happening" - which turns out to be your comment on an issue explaining it... No ETA for a fix 🥳

This is the Svalbard Global Seed Vault
xitter.cf/Rainmaker1973e/s…
It safeguards duplicates of more 1.2 million seed samples from almost every country in the world, with room for millions more. Its purpose is to be a backup of every plant on Earth and, of our food.
It is carved into a hillside above Longyearbyen airport, 130 meters above sea level.
The entrance portal is a simple concrete construction that has gained status as a global icon, in part due to “Perpetual Repercussion”, an illuminated fiber optic art installation created by the Norwegian artist, Dyveke Sanne, that decorates the entrance.
The mountain mass has permafrost, with a stable temperature of between -3 and -4°C. The seed storage area has an additional cooling system, to bring the seed storing temperature to minus 18°C and ensure that it remains constant. Electricity for the Seed Vault is provided by the public power plant in Longyearbyen. In addition, the Seed Vault is equipped with generators that provide electricity in the case of a power outage.
The seed store facility consists of three halls, each with a base measuring about 9.5 x 27 meters. Each hall can accommodate about 1.5 million seed samples, thus giving the Seed Vault a total capacity to store 4.5 million seed accessions. Only one of the three halls is in use, cooled to -18°C and equipped with shelves for seed boxes. When this hall reaches capacity, the second storage hall will be prepared and cooled to the level needed for seed conservation.
Every time I try to learn frontend to bring my ideas a visual interface, there’s yet another framework with yet another dependency hell. Why can’t there be a simple and sustainable framework, that doesn’t do a major bump feelingly every year.

If you can do packet capture you can also probably: turn off the encryption, steal the TLS keys, steal the K8s token -> generate your own TLS keys, run an arbitrary workload, block all traffic, ...
There isn't much value to same-node encryption IMO.
