Today the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels. Our Catholic Faith teaches that each person on earth has a guardian angel who watches over him and helps him to attain his salvation. This teaching is rooted in Sacred Scripture, notably in Matthew 18:10, where Jesus speaks of children, saying, "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." Guardian angels serve multiple roles. Protectors: They guard individuals against spiritual harm and physical dangers. They are often depicted in art as shielding children from harm or guiding lost travelers. Guides: They help in navigating moral decisions, encouraging the person towards good actions and away from sin. They inspire thoughts, promptings, or even dreams that guide one's path in accordance with God's will. Intercessors: Guardian angels are believed to offer our prayers to God, acting as a conduit for divine communication. They present our petitions to God and intercede on our behalf. Comforters: In moments of despair or loneliness, Catholics might find solace in the presence of their guardian angel, offering comfort that one is never truly alone. Many Catholics learn from a young age to pray to their guardian angel, with one of the most common and beautiful prayers being: "Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God's love commits me here, Ever this day be at my side, To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen." The existence of guardian angels also reflects deeper theological implications about the nature of God's care for humanity. It underscores a belief in a personal God who not only oversees the universe but is intimately involved in the minutiae of each life, providing individualized divine attention. While some might view guardian angels as a quaint or antiquated belief, for many Catholics, they represent a living tradition that connects them to the Triune God in a very personal way. In contemporary times, where individual isolation can be profound, the idea of a guardian angel reassures believers of an unseen companionship and protection. In essence, the Catholic belief in guardian angels encapsulates a hopeful narrative: that each person, no matter how small or insignificant they might feel, has a heavenly advocate, a silent companion on their spiritual journey, reflecting the boundless love and meticulous care of a loving, caring Heavenly Father.

An Act of Entrustment to the Angels The Act of Entrustment is recited in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament or during a liturgical rite, with the individual's name inserted where indicated ("N.N."). Theologically, it draws from Scripture (e.g., angels as messengers and protectors), Tradition (e.g., Church Fathers' teachings on angelic hierarchies), and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 328–336, 352), framing the act of entrustment as a "covenant" of charity and discernment, akin to devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus or the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This entrustment underscores the phrase cum sanctis angelis ("with the holy angels"), highlighting spiritual communion and cooperation in adoration, contemplation, expiation (in union with Christ's Passion), and mission within the Church. It avoids any speculative elements from private revelations, grounding itself in official Church teaching. Here is the complete Vatican approved text: O Holy Angels of God, here, in the presence of the Triune God and in the love of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, I, N.N., poor sinner, want to make a covenant with you, who are his servants, so that in union with you, I might work with humility and fortitude for the glory of God and the coming of his Kingdom. Therefore, I implore you to assist me, especially – in the adoration of God and of the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, – in the contemplation of the word and the salvific works of God, – in the imitation of Christ and in the love of his Cross in a spirit of expiation, – in the faithful fulfillment of my mission within the Church, serving humbly after the example of Mary, my heavenly Mother, your Queen. And you, my good guardian angel, who continually behold the face of our Father in heaven, God entrusted me to you from the very beginning of my life. I thank you with all my heart for your loving care. I commit myself to you and promise you my love and fidelity. I beg you: protect me against my own weakness and against the attacks of the wicked spirits; enlighten my mind and my heart so that I may always know and accomplish the will of God; and lead me to union with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saint Mikhael is the name given to the archangel known in English as Michael. The name itself comes from Hebrew and means “Who is like God?” It is a rhetorical question that affirms the uniqueness of the divine and became, in later tradition, a battle cry against pride and rebellion. He appears by name in a handful of biblical passages. In the Book of Daniel he is called a great prince who stands over the people of Israel and comes to the aid of the prophet. In the Letter of Jude he contends with the devil over the body of Moses. In the Book of Revelation he leads the heavenly host against the dragon, casting the adversary out of heaven. These brief mentions were enough for Jewish, Christian, and later Islamic tradition to regard him as the chief of the angels, the commander of the celestial armies, and the protector of God’s people. Christian devotion developed four principal roles for him: warrior against Satan, escort of souls at the hour of death, champion of the Church, and weigher of souls at the last judgment. Artists therefore show him in armor, sword or spear in one hand, scales in the other, often standing over a defeated dragon. Shrines rose on high places associated with his appearances—Monte Gargano in Italy, Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy—and his feast on 29 September became one of the great autumn holy days of the Western calendar. Unlike human saints, Mikhael is understood as a pure spirit created at the beginning of time. He never lived an earthly life, never died, and never needed canonization. The title “saint” is given to him because the Church honors him as a holy intercessor and model of fidelity. Across centuries soldiers, sailors, police, and anyone facing spiritual or physical danger have invoked his name, trusting that the one whose name asks “Who is like God?” remains the surest defender against whatever would set itself up in God’s place.

Saint Raphael the Archangel is a created pure spirit, one of the three archangels named in Sacred Scripture. His name means God heals. He is not a human saint. Like Michael and Gabriel he is an angel whom the Church venerates and invokes. Raphael appears by name only in the Book of Tobit, which the Catholic Church receives as canonical Scripture. Disguised as a man named Azariah, he accompanies the young Tobias on a long journey. He protects him, arranges his marriage to Sarah, drives away the demon Asmodeus who had killed her previous husbands, and later instructs Tobias how to heal his father’s blindness with the gall of a fish. At the end he reveals himself: I am Raphael, one of the seven angels who stand and serve before the Glory of the Lord. He adds that he presented the prayers of Tobit and Sarah before God and that he was sent both to test and to heal. Catholic teaching draws several points from this account. Angels can assume visible form to serve human beings. They present the prayers of the faithful before God. Divine providence works through them in ordinary family life, travel, sickness, and marriage. Raphael’s work is therefore understood as healing of body, deliverance from evil, and guidance on the way. Tradition also identifies him with the angel who stirred the waters of the pool of Bethesda in John 5, where the first to enter after the stirring was healed. The identification is not defined dogma, but it fits his name and his role in Tobit. The Church honors him with Michael and Gabriel on September 29. In the older Roman calendar his own feast was October 24. He is patron of travelers, the blind, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, happy meetings, and those seeking a spouse. He is invoked for healing of body and soul and for protection on journeys. Catholics do not worship Raphael. They ask his intercession because he is a faithful servant of God who has already shown how God accompanies the just in their trials and leads them toward health and peace.

The name Gabriel means 'Strength of God' or 'God is my strength'. He stands in the presence of God and is sent as a messenger. The Bible records four appearances under his name. In the Book of Daniel he explains visions about coming kingdoms and the time of the Messiah. In the Gospel of Luke he appears to Zechariah in the Temple to announce the birth of John the Baptist, and then to the Virgin Mary at Nazareth to announce that she will conceive by the Holy Spirit and bear the Son of the Most High. Because of these missions he is called the angel of the Incarnation. Catholic tradition also associates him with other moments surrounding the coming of Christ: the announcement of Mary’s own conception to Joachim and Anne, Joseph’s dreams, the message to the shepherds, the strengthening of Jesus in Gethsemane, and the news of the Resurrection given to the women at the tomb. These extra-scriptural attributions are pious tradition, not defined dogma. The Church teaches that angels are ministers of God’s providence. Gabriel’s particular office is to announce and interpret the great mysteries of salvation, especially the mystery of God becoming man. He is invoked as patron of messengers, communications workers, diplomats, and postal workers. Before the calendar reform of 1969 his feast was kept on March 24, the day before the Annunciation, to underline that connection. He is not worshipped. Veneration of Gabriel, like that of other angels and saints, is directed through him to God, who created him and sent him. In Catholic thought he remains a living intercessor and a sign that God does not leave the world without word when the time of fulfillment arrives.

There have been more deaths from the COVID shot than all vaccines combined in the last 36 years. Fauci’s response to this was.. “Well the VAERS system doesn’t work”.. the system THEY created doesn’t work? “That’s their fall back position: the system that we gave you to protect you from vaccine injury is so broken and so unreliable that it can’t be used for any purpose” –@SecKennedy

CHICAGO TRIBUNE IS NOT A NEWSPAPER : The Trib is now all agenda news, all opinion & editorial. People who I spoke to that were there at Medinah Golf Course said President Trump got a huge reception. They also said only they saw a handful of protesters at the train station , the protesters were booed & heckled Bottom line is President Trump was well received and the tribune has zero credibility That’s why the Chicago Tribune continues to lose subscribers, lose advertisers, and lose readers.
