I keep seeing people—or rather, haters—come up with the most unhinged arguments against Mushoku Tensei, while continuing to throw around accusations of pedophilia and call it “Diddy Tensei.” People can hate Mushoku Tensei all they want, but reducing Rudeus to a single label while ignoring the complexity of his character is just intellectually dishonest. You can criticize his past actions without dismissing his entire character arc. The story doesn't ask you to pretend his flaws never existed; it shows him making mistakes, facing the consequences, confronting his traumas, and gradually striving to become a better person. As he grows, we see him learn from his mistakes, value his family, appreciate the people around him, and help others to the best of his ability. Yet so many people refuse to acknowledge this development, choosing instead to judge him solely by some of his actions from the first season. Acknowledging Rudeus's growth doesn't mean defending everything he's done. There's a clear difference between criticizing a character and deliberately ignoring everything that challenges your preconceived notions of them. Ahhh, man... Some people are just unbelievably stupid. But here's one thing you can't deny, whether you like it or not: Mushoku Tensei, Re, and Tensura are among the greatest isekai series in anime history. Nobody can change that!
