yunjin talks on bbc about almost quitting k-pop but the right path of le sserafim found her 🤍
“i had a point in my life where i thought maybe music isn't the right path for me, and i wanted to go back to school and go back to what i had been originally working on before even coming to korea. as fate would have it, i think when you're busy living your life, going your own way, i think you attract the things that are meant to come to you, and i think that's exactly what happened with le sserafim.
honestly, i have no idea! i think i would be working hard doing something ambitious either way, but i had a lot of interests, so i'm not sure exactly, but i don't think anything would be as satisfying as le sserafim is.”

“the first step for us was to recognize that we are all very different people, and like chaewon said in the beginning, we come from very different backgrounds. we actually, it's kind of unconventional for a k-pop group to start spending time together as a team itself after debut, because most of the time, or for a lot of the time, groups have spent years already training together as a team. for us, that just wasn't the case, so we started to get to know each other after debuting.
that came with a lot of times where we recognized that, oh, we are actually really different people, and it took effort, because in any relationship it takes effort to recognize that and embrace those differences. we had a period where we genuinely asked each other, "how do you want to be shown up for?" like, "i prefer not to be asked questions when i'm going through something," "i prefer to be asked questions," and we would have those interviews with each other.
now, because we are so busy, giving each other our time is one of the biggest love languages that we have for each other. especially during tour, when we have a lot of that time to spend with each other, it's one of our ways of staying super close, just laughing and spending quality time together.”
