As climate change reshapes the Arctic — particularly the sea ice polar bears rely on to travel and hunt — Inuit are seeing the animals at different times of year and in places they were rarely encountered before. nationalobserver.com/2026/10…

Private companies know there’s no business case for more pipelines when renewables have never been cheaper, cleaner, and faster to deploy. So the government is about to invest OUR money instead. Most Canadians agree: NO taxpayer-funded pipelines >> act.gp/4pydJhN

The pipeline would be the first project to receive the designation since Ottawa passed Bill C-5 more than a year ago. The act gives Ottawa the power to issue special conditions for projects covering a dozen federal laws in order to help them proceed. theenergymix.com/carney-expe…

A better way to break strikes. Smh
Steven MacKinnon on 'modernizing' labour relations: "We do have too many conflicts, lockouts and strikes, or threats of either of those in the country. It harms investment, harms employment, maybe even particularly in unionized environments. So we need a better framework for getting to agreements between employers and their employees."

totally insane clip. She starts with a clear ‘no’, the legislation won’t limit labour’s ability to strike, then basically explains the mechanism through which the legislation WILL limit their ability to strike, all while continuing to rhetorically maintain that it won’t!
David Cochrane: Is there going to be anything in this legislation that could limit the ability of unions to strike? Patty Hajdu: No. In fact, what this legislation is focused on is really those 5% of cases that lead to a labour disruption.

Time for a province wide walk out. Association of Municipalities of Ontario AMO report indicates homeless will increase to 300,000 as Ford's mouthpiece Stephen Lecce spent $79,647 on riding association donations for "anonymous meetings" that received a tax break from Ontarians.👇
Time for an Auditor General forensic audit. Who was cabinet minister Stephen Lecce "entertaining" in "meetings" across 2024 & 2025 as he spent "$79,647" in riding association funds that are "heavily subsidized" by "tax credits" given to "political donors" between 2024 and 2025.
