No credit scores were created to allow banks and lending institutions to grow in power at the expense of people. they have even more discriminatory models through their algorithms that trap and punish people with lower scores and feed them highest rate loans FICO in particular is a scam that harms millions The most oppressed by the scam are people of color and those struggling.
Credit scores are great and they make society better. How you got loans in the past was basically "Do you have a firm handshake (and be white)". Now there's a mechanical score to track whether you pay your bills on time. Much better system!

Always interesting @PatrickEBoyle on why companies are buying bitcoin. (hint, it is for the fraud) It ought to be an utter condemnation of every market theorist that the valuations of these opportunistic holding companies are so high. youtu.be/inI0SC3Zj4A?si=zgU3…

"trump can't be bought" is one for the ages.
Let’s cut to the chase. Musk tried to buy President Trump to secure more corporate welfare for his companies. Trump can’t be bought so the plan failed. Now he’s moved on to Plan B — buying a political party and propping up legislators who’ll grind everything to a halt until he gets the handouts he wants. That won’t work either.

like jeffries doesn't know the direct connection between decimating NOAA and this disaster. who paid him off for this?
Just such a poor understanding of the moral stakes of politics. It's just awful that Hakeem Jeffries represents the House Democrats.

I think we've learned that positioning is bullshit as it means you can't afford nice things unless you're rich
I wonder if Elon’s party will be socially liberal and fiscally conservative

The uncollected taxes from the wealthy tax dodgers, for which the IRS has been hobbled for decades in pursuing, are estimated to be enough alone to house the entire homeless population of America
Cities should be allowed to build housing for adults like this. We do it for hostels, and it can serve as "housing of last resort." Very cheap rent, by the bed. There'd have to be strictly enforced rules if paired with strangers, but it's not impossible.

we need to get this more likes and reposts than Obama's bs independence day message
America is beautiful, contradictory, unfinished. I am proud of our country even as we constantly strive to make it better, to protect and deepen our democracy, to fulfill its promise for each and every person who calls it home. Happy Independence Day. No Kings in America.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bottom 50% of Americans held 4% of the country’s wealth. By the 2020s, this had been cut in half to 2%. This is due to decades of tax breaks for corporations and billionaires.

can we just substitute "liar" for "communicator?" asking as a lifelong disappointed democrat
Outside of Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, who’s the best Democratic communicator of the past 30 years? No wrong answers.

Ya know... At Sequoia he led our investments into SpaceX, The Boring Company, X, xAI, Neuralink, AMP Robotics, Bridge, Decart, Eon, Factory, Vise, Lightmatter and others. Prior to Sequoia, Shaun co-founded Expanse, a cybersecurity company that was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for $1B. looks like a very musky and thiely background, i am sure he has calipers for skull measuring
So is this @sequoia Sequoia Capital just an openly racist company? Is this part of their brand?

wages have never reflected productivity gains due to technology - going back the cotton gin!
AI is not only killing jobs but also likely leading to greater exploitation of the lucky few developers who keep their jobs. Per Microsoft, developers' productivity is up 10-30% thanks to AI. Doubtful that average wages have kept up with the increase in marginal revenue product.

I just like how fitting her condemnation is of Tucker - but for herself (minus the deportation part)
Why is an Israeli saying that Tucker, an American born citizen, should be deported? I think we have a few things confused here.
