Root cause of this scam carried out by Jai Rathore is unemployment and paper leaks.
Jai is 25, and he is still jobless. He has been giving exam after exam just to get a job and make his parents proud.
Even today, he has an exam.
And yes, as I was saying in last night’s Space, I trusted him when he said his father was suffering from an eye disease. It turns out that this was true.
He knew he wouldn’t get this much in donations in the name of his father, so he created a fake identity in the name of his sister, who doesn’t exist, and made an emotional story around her.
Maybe he wanted to keep the money for himself, or maybe he wanted to help his father. We don’t know.
But the truth is, he scammed people.
Now, he needs counselling, not trolling. He doesn’t deserve it at this stage. He is not a history-sheeter.
Imagine the mental state of this boy and his family, knowing that the entire Indian internet is after him and bloodthirsty for him over just ₹1.5 lakh.
And yes, he will return each and every penny of everyone.
