Windows in Part L1 2026 - SAP 10.3 good news: solar control glass (low g-value) no longer penalises your energy calculation. The notional g-value now matches the proposed window. No more conflict between SAP and overheating compliance. buff.ly/TFRwHGz #PartL2026 #SAP103

Under Part L 2026, the SAP assessor sets the U-value target for windows — but the supplier must confirm compliance using the new methodology. 4 questions to ask before you fix the spec: buff.ly/TFRwHGz #PartL2026 #FutureHomesStandard

Windows in Part L1 2026 - The methodology change (same window, higher U-value). Part L 2026 requires actual size + full component calculations — Georgian bars alone can push a 1.27 to 1.60 W/m²K. Full breakdown: buff.ly/TFRwHGz #PartL2026 #FutureHomesStandard

Part O Overheating - When you need TM59 instead. The Simplified Method fails your design? It isn't the end of the road. TM59 dynamic simulation opens up larger glazing, external shading and solar glass, ventilation. When to switch routes: buff.ly/RYa2Tex #TM59

Part O Overheating - What the Simplified Method can't credit Planning to rely on internal blinds or external shutters, MVHR, AC or blinds to pass Part O? The Simplified Method can't credit any of them. What this means for your design: buff.ly/RYa2Tex #PartO

Part O Overheating - What counts as glazing (only the glass) What counts as glazing (only the glass) - Measuring the whole window. Only the clear glass counts, not the frame. Typically, the glass is around 70% of the total window opening: buff.ly/RYa2Tex #PartO

The west-facing glazing trap for Overheating - A west-facing 100m² house with cross-ventilation gets just 11m² of total glazing under Part O. That goes fast once you count living room windows, door glazing and rooflights. Why orientation matters: buff.ly/RYa2Tex #PartO

Since June 2022, every new home in England has to prove it won't overheat. For most standard houses, that starts with the Simplified Method under Part O. Here's what it actually checks, in plain English: buff.ly/RYa2Tex #PartO

More insulation = more overheating risk. That's the common assumption. Our TM59 study says otherwise. Cavity wall: 29% fewer overheating hours in bedrooms vs timber frame. Improved insulation slows heat flow from outside to in. .Full study 👇 buff.ly/lwodyT8

Post 3 of 3 We have a 100% pass rate on overglazed extension SAP assessments — no redesigns required. Plain English guide to how it works, what your options are, and how to get started: buff.ly/O4QA3pw #PartL #BuildingRegulations #SAP #HomeExtension #GlazedExtension

Post 2 of 3 Under Part L, there's a route called the whole-dwelling SAP calculation. It models the full house + extension and compares carbon emissions against a standard compliant design. buff.ly/O4QA3pw We has passed projects at 73% glazing. #GlazedExtension

Just turned 30! 🎂 This past year has been transformative for my work at Tool Finder. We're evolving from a content site into a software company, and it's super exciting! Although the last year has been full of change, I appreciate all the support. Entering my 30s with this new vision and exciting plans is a new challenge I'm buzzing about. PS. Clearly, my present was @todoist week view.

It would be great to have some form of ‘status’ filter as well. I have lots of tasks and separating them into ‘status’ really helps focus not only on priority but grouping task types for projects and if working as a team, easier to delegate right task types.
