Derek Jarmen’s sets are the biggest winner of the new restoration. I’ve seen this movie before a couple of times, but seeing this new transfer on the big screen I almost said “Oh my god” out loud a couple of times when it cut to an establishing shot of the sets.
“The restoration of the material is like cleaning the Sistine Chapel with saliva. I’ve never seen the movie until I saw this restoration.” Guillermo del Toro
Over 164,472 frames of 35mm film were restored to bring to life KEN RUSSELL'S THE DEVILS. Premiering today at @tiff_net.

the look in jon's face ever got me, cause he's genuinelly fucked that THIS woman doesn't find herself desirable, and yeah, same, i hate everyone whose ever made her feel like that and also i know exactly how it feels like to think that you'd never be likeble or desired
