They still don't understand Gen X in the workplace.
We don't want free pizza parties.
We don't want mandatory team-building retreats.
We don't want motivational speeches about being a family.
And we definitely don't want another company-branded coffee mug.
You know what we want?
💰 Pay us what we're worth.
🏖️ Let us take our vacation days without guilt.
🏡 Respect our time outside of work.
🤝 Trust us to do the job we were hired to do.
📵 Stop expecting us to be available 24/7.
We're not looking for an office to become our second home. We have lives, families, responsibilities, and better things to do than pretend a pizza party makes up for being underpaid and overworked.
Pay us fairly, respect our boundaries, and let us get on with our lives.
That's the perk. That's the culture. That's it. 😂

You may see something better today than Willie Nelson drinking a beer while hanging out with Earl Campbell, although I highly fucking doubt it.

Each year, FDNY members, family and friends walk in the footsteps of Father Mychal Judge, honoring a man whose compassion, courage and devotion to others defined his life of service.
On September 11, 2001, Father Judge, an FDNY Chaplain and Franciscan Friar, rushed to the World Trade Center, where he prayed with the dying, comforted the injured and stood alongside New York's Bravest in their darkest hour.
He was the first identified victim of the attacks, known as Victim 0001.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to walk in his footsteps, remember his life and honor his legacy along with all those we lost that day and in the years since.
We Never Forget.

The small town of Gander in the Canadian province of Newfoundland saw its population virtually double when U.S. airspace was closed on 9/11, grounding 38 international flights on an island in the Atlantic Ocean.
For five days, Newfoundlanders gave shelter and comfort to 7,000 stranded passengers and crew members. @conorknighton talks with Newfoundlanders who volunteered during the emergency, whose generosity to the "plane people" inspired the Broadway musical @wecomefromaway.

Earlier this morning, the annual Father Mychal Judge Walk of Remembrance was held in New York City. The walk traces the route that Fr. Mychal took from St. Francis of Assisi Friary to the World Trade Center on 9/11. Along the route, participants paused and prayed at fire stations and precincts of the New York Police Department and the Port Authority Police Department. The Late New York City Police Department Detective Steven McDonald founded this Walk in tribute to his friend. @FDNY @UFANYC @NYPDPC @NYPDDCPI @NYCFireWire @FDNYFoundation
Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, the FDNY remembers Father Mychal Judge not by how he died, but by how he lived.
Known to so many as a chaplain, a Friar, a mentor and a source of comfort, Father Judge dedicated his life to serving others. His kindness, compassion and words of hope continue to resonate with FDNY members, their families and New Yorkers today.
Presented by FDNY Pro Films, "Remembering Judge" tells the story of a life defined by service and leadership. It sheds light on the person who brought hope to members of the Department and their families during their darkest hours.
Join us for a special screening of "Remembering Judge" at 1:30PM Sunday, Sept. 6, or 6PM Friday, Sept. 11, at Firehouse Cinema in Manhattan. Tickets can be purchased at dctvny.org/s/firehouse-film/….

#POTUS 😂
We figured it out, T — Trump only bombs full sentences. "I ran." "Oh man." We're puttin' money on "Sue Dan" bein' next.
The 16 year old kid bagging my groceries asked me how my day was going and I said "can't complain" and he responded "probably wouldn't do any good if you did" and honestly that kid is a straight shooter with upper management potential written all over him.

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the Moon.
