Functioning countries are subsidising fuel to give their citizens some relief. Meanwhile, our government is giving us “practical tips” on how to save fuel. How exactly are people supposed to save fuel when millions have no choice but to drive or commute long distances to work because of the spatial inequality inherited from apartheid that government has still failed to adequately redress more than 30 years after taking power? People don’t need fuel saving tips. They need actual relief.

She already has to spend the rest of her life dealing with his degeneracy towards her, you CANNOT also expect her to deal with and be responsible for what the community at large decides to do to a rapist to ensure the safety of the COMMUNITY (not just the one individual victim).
