The real issue Francis Ngannou has with Dana White is that when he joined the UFC, he was like an excited schoolboy getting his first trophy. Blinded by the thought of fame, glory, and money, he signed on the dotted line and thought no more about the contract or its clauses. Fast forward two years later, and you see guys like Conor McGregor, who negotiated those clauses and read the fine print,making millions upon millions. Only then does he decide that he is worth more, cry foul, and ask to be released as if he is being held hostage. Sadly, he is not. He is simply under contract, as he agreed. The real problem is that he rushed into a contract without thinking because he was just excited to be signed by such a huge promotion - a promotion that, if it had not signed him, would have left him with nothing today.
