Terrific news! All of the prospect coverage we enjoy today pretty much grew from Allan founding @BaseballAmerica in his garage 45 years ago. I've never met anyone who loves every aspect of baseball as much as Allan, and I owe my career to him. Very happy for him!

The Twins are acquiring DSL catcher Miguel Caraballo from San Francisco. I'd link to his player page but this website fucking sucks.

He's a pretty standard mid-90s fastball, plus slider reliever, except that he's 6-foot-8, 300 pounds.

This is pretty incredible: MLB is offering a FREE subscription to MLB.tv for all college students through Feb. 28. Covers the rest of the 2022 regular season, Dominican Winter League and start of spring training. And it doesn't autorenew: mlb.com/live-stream-games/st…

Kevin's work is part of why I'm doing this at all, and it was my honor to work with him and show him where and how I've tried to carry this weird torch that he inadvertently passed to so many.

Padres scout Kimball Crossley has been coaching freshman basketball during the offseason and writing about it, and it's excellent.

Very happy for Brendan and the Pirates. He carried an awful lot of water for the group of us working on prospect stuff at FG and will help restore yinz to glory.

I'm excited to announce that I've accepted a pro scouting position with the Pittsburgh Pirates. I've been working towards something like this for a while now and can't wait to get going!
