Again, I'm constantly astounded of the lack of knowledge unionism has in regards to the GFA. The GFA cant change (unless theres referendums north and south). The GFA contains reviews to Strand 1, which accommodates changes as to how NI is governed. Its quite explicit in fact.

"If support for the union with Britain were to continue to decline at the same rate as support for a united Ireland is rising, pro-unification support would surpass unionist support in the early 2030s, presuming “don’t knows” stay roughly the same."

21/09 - PSNI ask Police Scotland for mutual aid 23/09 - PSNI tell Parades Commission no concerns 25/09 - Parades commission allow march Timelines do not add up. Someone isn't telling the truth and resignations must follow given how high the stakes are here.

Are we to believe/accept that this whole drama isn't the fault of an individual(s) in the PSNI who wrongly advised the Parades Commission? And they have the cheek to "open an investigation" into law breaking. Investigate YOUR OWN OFFICERS!!!!

At least try and be original @duponline
Gavin Robinson has said that Unionism is being 'goaded' by Sinn Féin to pull down power sharing. Follow our live blog for the latest updates: tinyurl.com/42ddnndz

This binlid doesn't even appear to understand Protestantism. Clue is in the name love.... "Protest"ant And what are they "protesting" against? Ask yourself does the Catholic Church do the same?
You can't be a women priest in the Catholic church you can't be a woman or protestant in the AOH and you can't be a protestant pope , does that make these organisations anti protestant /anti women ? Jesus had 12 initial disciples all male , and the only churches to ordain women is the protestant denominations , Presbyterians are way ahead of any other faith when it comes to equality that is just factual !

I wanted to paint the living room lime green. My wife said no. So I couldn't do it. Her role was consultative, she has zero powers. 🫠
A consultative role. Has zero powers .

Chris here, is self soothing after realising the SoS role for NI is a head melt. Cry it out Chris...... its fine. Remember though, when you are gone - Churchill's quote...
It’s fine to cry. Most human thing in the world. It’s inhumane to expect others hold it all in somehow whatever the circumstances. Politics that runs with the grain of human emotion is far more likely to deliver the goods.

The Whole Map of Europe has been changed. The position of countries has been violently altered. The mode and thought of men, the whole outlook on affairs, the grouping of parties, all have encountered violent and tremendous changes in the deluge of the world, but as the deluge..

...subsides and the waters fall short we see the dreary steeples of Fermanagh and Tyrone emerging once again. The integrity of their quarrel is one of the few institutions that has been unaltered in the cataclysm which has swept the world. The Irish Question.

This week’s scorecard: Parades Commission. Scuttled. Own fault. WTAF? PSNI. Screwed up advice over Drumcree. But points for blocking the OO. DUP. Hubris, meet nemesis. Nationalists. Cold fury will galvanise the base ahead of 27 elections. Bryson. Junk status.

I see no need to have mediation with regard to the proposed Orange parade down the Garvaghy road. In 1995 the Residents were given an assurance that if they allowed the parade that year, which they eventually did, there would be no further parades. See cain.ulster.ac.uk/issues/par…

Like clockwork. Grifters want 6 months holiday on full pay.
⛔️💥NEW GARVAGHY: “No parade, no Stormont.” - TUV says the DUP must walk away from power-sharing 🎥🎤@TUVonline MLA @TGastonMLA says “a line has been crossed” and Stormont is no longer sustainable following the Drumcree stand-off. He also expresses a lack of confidence in PSNI Chief Constable Jon Boutcher. Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 is at Stormont and will have more throughout the day.

Quick piece of advice for @RhonddaBryant & @andyburnham When it comes to contentious issues in Northern Ireland, consult with Dublin FIRST. Then take counsel from the NIO. The reason is, Dublin understand the GFA & issues affecting NI 1000% more than any British politico.

Theres needs to be a Public Enquiry into: 🚨Who in the Parades Commission failed in their duty 🚨Who in the upper ranks of the PSNI decided there was no threat from a parade down the Garvaghy road 🚨Who advised the Chief Constable Heads need to roll.
