This morning my team delivered the first trial of it's kind (as far as I'm aware) in Vic, maybe Aus, to open a street in front of a school to people🚶♀️🚲🛴🛼🛹, making vehicles detour. The trial will take place 3 wks in a row in an attempt to shift behaviour to active travel.
Ok I’m worried… over on that #Threads place; I took the ID off my instagram page as I don’t want cross contamination of people (instagram is for nice pictures of my tea) but I’m still getting people following me on Threads - how are they finding me??!
Who’s figured it out yet?
WHAT ARE YOU ALL WAITING FOR?!
Join #THREADS. I’m a loner over there right now 😬
Why all councils can’t have a ‘things’ library, I just don’t know.
It’s sad that ppl want their own shovel, own drills, own lawnmower etc….
This is the way (back) forward! 🫶🏽
More tool libraries needed.
The @libraryofthings is now open for reservations at Canada Water Library. You can rent useful items like carpet cleaners, circular saws and projectors from just a few pounds per day. Free-up space, cut clutter and save money by renting instead of buying orlo.uk/yVPjH
This is nice. Something I captured a few days ago. The bike lane on Queensbury (btw Elizabeth/Swanston) has had some brighter green added and LIGHTS! Haven’t tried it in low light but I bet they help ppl in cars to take a second before turning and potentially swiping out rider.
Today we were playing make believe; “mama, today I’m going to ride to my work because we don’t need to take a car always”
My work here is done.
If you planned on being in Frankston on a Sunday morning, which is 1.5hrs from your home, where would you chose to find an air bnb that wasn’t Frankston? Mount Eliza? Or maybe further up like Edithvale?
Anyone else raiding their kids stash to get them through work? #JesusApproved
Purchasing books should be something most people have the means to do, yet BD was often the only source people in many countries could get the options they needed.
This is outrageous that a company like this will no longer exist. The impact will be huge.

Sounds good… on paper
Today @TfL is launching three new low traffic Cycleways across the capital:
🚲 New cycle routes in Lambeth, Islington, City of London, Ealing and Hounslow
🚲 10km of new routes in the network
🚲 124,000 more Londoners will be within 400m of a high-quality cycle route.
I live around ridiculously wide streets but this parking (by the white Kia) is taking the absolute piss. Made it really hard to see on coming cars.
She is unflinching in her values.
She is Blak.
Therefore she is criticised by many.
Hanson (in the film footage) ‘looks like’ the sane one - her abhorrent values are given credence and power.
Stop demonising Lidia, it gives rise to fascism. It’s dangerous. #senatorthorpe
Today at work I finally met @DrLaurenPearson IRL! (Despite a few failed attempts for a coffee catch up over the yrs). She is just as impressive & brilliant in the flesh as she is ‘on paper’. Lauren’s doing (transport mobility) work that Australia badly needs & I am here for it 👏🏽

To advance safety for people who ride bikes, the Sustainable Mobility and Safety Research team @MonashUni are developing new ways of detecting near-misses. We are seeking participants in Victoria to mount a smartphone on their bike.

I reckon @Channel4 should start a Saturday night show called #MatchesOfTheDay and hire @GaryLineker @alanshearer & @IanWright0. Most people would switch over and the @BBCMOTD would look like the losers they are. ⚽️ #GaryGate #GaryLinekar
The whole of the U.K had it before you took it away you absolute moron.
