Introverts love a boring life. But boring doesn’t mean lifeless. It means steady. Calming. Safe. It’s waking up to the same cozy routines. The same breakfast, the same playlist, the same black tee and worn-out blue Levi’s. Things that make you feel like you.
Like sitting with the same two friends you’ve loved for decades. Laughing at the same old stories, the same old jokes that still feel new. The world celebrates spectacle. Flashy reels, curated lives, endless “next things.”
And then, there are introverts...
The quiet souls who find comfort in repetition. Who don’t need a crowd to feel alive. Who measure happiness not by show-off, but by peace. A simple, 'boring' life may not look cool, but it lets your heart rest. And that, in the end, is everything...
The Lord passed by, and a great wind rent the mountains, but the Lord was not in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
1 Kings 19:11-12
My winter plans: being a hermit. Quietude, contemplation. Working on a book about my mystical/spiritual journey, reading, recuperation. That's it. Focusing on what matters most to me. Stillness, tranquility.
If you want to push back against tech's encroachment into every corner of our lives, you have to read books. They're eager to create a future in which most people are illiterate and hooked on slop, a world without imagination or knowledge. Reading is resistance.
