The craziness of the whole Roadster thing from a product perspective is that Tesla and Elon could have just made the now defunct second gen quite easily.
They could have sold the “forgotten to the sands of time second generation” like hotcakes and then released the one we saw last night as the third generation. This would have allowed them to sell that one like hotcakes again.
This to me, is a lesson in common sense vs nerd brain. You have to have both to succeed and can’t go full nerd all the time. Just another total marketing dopamine chase by the product team vs common sense product delivery.
