Im taking a break from X & YouTube to focus on other projects/writing/life stuff/fewer distractions/quitting smoking etc. Not sure how long. I suck at planning ahead lol. I talked about it on stream but heres a vid explaining whats up. Have a good week! youtu.be/Dyba1tyoD7M
Lol. Here's how they can (maybe) save this:
1. Make her temporary alt universe filler with >10 minutes of screen time
2. Converge the multiverse timelines with Secret Wars
3. Introduce real Silver Surfer & Dr. Doom
4. Cast Keanu Reeves & Henry Cavil respectively
5. Profit
Julia Garner will reportedly play an alternate version of the Silver Surfer, taking on the role of Shalla-Bal, which potentially confirms a fan theory that the new Fantastic Four movie is set in an alternate version of the MCU. bit.ly/3TK9nVp
Of course no one is talking about this bc there's no outrage potential. Haven't seen a single person or content creator on my timeline mention this lol. White pills aren't cool or something idk. X is boring.
Square Enix is making BIG white pill moves imo. Forspoken studio shut down and Hamaguchi (FF12/Rebirth), Asano (Octopath), and other RPG talent promoted to Executive Officer positions.
This new direction is giving SquareSoft vibes 👏
Some personal news to share - I have been appointed as an Executive Officer at Square Enix. I will do my best in order to continue delivering appealing games to as many fans as possible. Thank you so much for your continued support!!

Final Fantasy XVI sold 3 million copies in under a week on a single platform ( PS5 ) vs Dragon’s Dogma 2 being available on PS5, Xbox & PC was able to get 2.5 million copies sold in 11 days.
You can mental gymnastics that all you want but I think Final Fantasy is doing just fine. Also Rebirth did much better in digital sales as well.
Yeah in Japan it faltered but unfortunately Japan isn’t really the target demographic for console games as much now.
They’re a demo far more into mobile games/handhelds now. It’s been that way for years at this point. Also XVI outsold Dogma 2 in Japan in release too so we’re clear as well
TLDR: Just enjoy great games & stop comparing them
I really think Square Enix has kind of a problem...
They put out 2 major - easily 100+ million dollar games- with FF7R & FF16, but apart from the die-hard fans nobody really seems to care.
- FF7R Sales in the second week dropped 89% in UK, 90% in Japan
- FF7 Remake sold 3.5 million in 3 days, but we have not heard anything about Rebirth's performance, probably because it's not doing as good (it was 34% down vs remake in UK)
The third game will probably appeal to even less people sadly.
FF16 sold 3 million in the first week, but has disappeared from charts after that. Super bad for a game of that caliber.
I love these games, they are my favorite each year, but they don't appeal to new people.
Capcom with Dragon's Dogma 2 doesn't seem to have that issue, it's gearing up to be one of the biggest AAA releases of the year.
Spoiler alert for a 60 year old movie and a 400 year old play (Macbeth) lol but the ending to Kurosawa's Throne of Blood is absolutely incredible. One of the most iconic death scenes off all time imo.

New second channel video! The Dune review is taking ages to script and put together so I figured I’d upload the odd bit as a mini essay. For a sense of scale, this is about 1/3rd of the introduction.

I think it's fine. Theater productions do this all the time. Especially Shakespeare lol. Denzel Washington was Macbeth and no one cared. Shakespeare has been adapted all over the world in every country.

Dev Patel "faced catastrophe" everyday while making #MonkeyMan.
“I begged our financier not to shut us down a few weeks before principal photography. I lost my initial production designer and [cinematographer] and the film was basically dead. All of the locations we prepped for we lost day of. The borders closed, so I couldn’t bring in lots of supporting characters. I ended up having to put every tailor, lighting guy, accountant etc. in front of the camera...we only had three or four break away tables so once I would perform a huge bulk of stunts I would scream CUT and then immediately all of us would get on our hands and knees looking for all of the broken pieces of wood to glue the tables back together for the next shot."

Easier than I thought but still kinda rough cuz I associated smoking with "taking a mental break" so I still feel like I dont have mental breaks anymore. Walking outside helps and coffee helps. My gums still hurt from wisdom teeth surgery so I can't really chew gum either lol.
