Evaporation, condensation, precipitation on my mind. This is the (methane?!) cycle, and it happens all the time! 🎶
Webb provided evidence for cloud convection on Saturn’s moon Titan, the only other place in our solar system with weather like Earth!

Astronomers used @NASAHubble to study the movements of stars in the Draco dwarf galaxy over 18 years.
The linked 👇 research aimed to understand dark matter distribution within the galaxy. The team's findings suggest a "cusp-like" dark matter structure, aligning with cosmological models.
Their analysis combined line-of-sight velocities and proper motions to create a detailed 3D model of stellar movements. This methodology, applied to other galaxies like Sculptor and Ursa Minor, could advance dark matter research.

Attention #GaiaData users. The Gaia Archive and some other Gaia systems will experience an extended downtime between 18 April 16:30 CEST and 23 April 08:30 CEST. Gaia data always remains accessible though thanks to our partner data centres: cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/data… !

The universe is expanding. To understand the expansion speed, we look to stars in distant galaxies and the afterglow of the big bang. @NASAWebb confirmed 30 years of @NASAHubble's data, deepening a mystery: Why is the universe expanding so fast? go.nasa.gov/3P9xx9q

ALT A Webb and Hubble composite image of galaxy NGC 5584. The galaxy has a bright white core, and several large spiral arms extending out from that core, rotating clockwise. The arms are light blue with many pink speckles and clumps littering the arms. Scattered across the picture are red blobs of varying sizes. The background is largely black but has a smattering of tiny red dots.
