The EU is losing the plot. May as well make all hobbies illegal. Oh and being over 18 should be illegal too while you're at it. Criminalizing play... What are we doing anymore? Not even trying with the child safety illusion anymore at this point.

🔥🔥IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL 🔥🔥
This is the end of PlayStation era.
The official PlayStation post announcing that they were killing physical discs has reached over 185 million views. Almost every YouTube video covering the subject blows up, often reaching at least 200.000–300.000 views. Every post about it even from people like me who don’t have a huge following gains massive traction.
You have to be naive to believe that only a handful of people support this message and movement. It is reaching millions and those people are sharing it and spreading their frustration even further. Claiming that we’re just a small minority is simply fucking stupid. That would be like saying the GTA VI trailer having 200 million views means nothing because only a few people care about it.
Sure, there will always be a few idiots who will buy a PlayStation no matter what. But in the future, they will be the minority.
So don’t let anyone feed you that bullshit. We are watching a company set itself on fire right before our eyes. Keep fighting against these corrupt, greedy bastards who are destroying our hobby more and more every single day.

PlayStation in 2026:
- End Destiny
- End physical gaming forever
- End porting exclusives to PC
- Completely lose Hideo Kojima
- Attempt to cancel Kojima's next Metal Gear franchise
- Kojima cuts ties entirely and goes to XBOX
- Force your single-player studios to make live service games
- Concord happens
- Proceed to cancel most of them, losing years of development time and billions of dollars
- Buy Bluepoint and have them make a live-service rather than remakes
- Close Bluepoint down before they release any games
- Start selling vertical stands separately rather than have them come with the console
- Console prices at an all-time high
Genuinely... what is going on at Sony. disaster after disaster, huge L after L. They were my favorite gaming company throughout the PS4 generation but genuinely, how do you lose EVERYONE this fast? Meanwhile, XBOX is taking full advantage of this and priming a major comeback next generation. A literal generational fumble happening at Sony.

🚨 SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE PAYING $70 FOR? AIR?
Sony’s legal position keeps dragging us toward one ridiculous question: if I don’t own the digital game I just paid for, what exactly did I buy?
Not a disc. There isn’t one. Nothing I can resell. Nothing I can transfer to another person. I sure as hell can’t put it on a shelf.
Sony doesn’t even want me calling it “mine.”
So I paid $80 for permission.
At that point, it starts feeling like I’m buying air.
Here’s what gamers should really think about. If Sony keeps ownership and controls the storefront, the license, the distribution, and the terms of access, how does the consumer have any meaningful leverage over the price?
And how exactly do you price invisible permission?
They can charge $40, $70, $80, discount it next week, bundle it six months later, or change the conditions attached to accessing it. Hell, under certain circumstances, access can even disappear.
Meanwhile, what did you actually walk away owning?
Nothing. Not a damn thing. Nothing you can resell to recover part of what you spent.
That is a hell of a business model. Think about it. A digital game can be duplicated and licensed millions of times around the world without Sony ever transferring ownership of an individual physical copy to you.
The customer takes out the wallet. Sony keeps the control.
For decades, paying full retail price meant you bought your copy of something. Nobody thought buying a Resident Evil disc meant you owned Capcom or the Resident Evil copyright. You owned the copy sitting in your house, just like a book, a DVD, or a music CD.
That’s why this court case matters.
The act of purchasing still looks and feels like a purchase. It’s Sony’s definition of what that purchase gives you that changed.
Digital storefronts have flipped that relationship upside down.
Now we’re being told: pay the purchase price, click the Buy button, build a library worth thousands of dollars... but don’t confuse any of that with ownership.
And depending on the terms attached to that license, you may not have the control over that library that the word “buy” leads you to believe you have.
That’s bullshit.
It’s not the lack of a physical disc that bothers me. It’s charging consumers like they’re buying a product while giving them the rights of someone borrowing permission.
@Sony, stop pretending this is traditional retail.
Because if gamers are only buying permission wrapped in the language and pricing of ownership, then we need to start asking a much bigger question:
Why are we paying ownership prices for permission slips?

The only announcement we’re interested in hearing from Sony is this🚀
“We’re sorry. We hear you. Physical media will continue to be produced for games before and after January 2028”
Anything else is completely meaningless
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
This is like Nintendo lending Zelda to Philips all over again...
I wish #Tunic would go on sale... I know it's not an expensive game overall, but my poor ass has been deathly sick for 3 weeks so I got nothing. ;A;
Finding out your childhood ice cream actually does still exist, just not for regular consumption is probably the most upset I have ever been towards food companies.
@TipTopNZ Bring scoops to your 2l tubs line. I'm not traveling 10km for a single scoop on a wafer I'm allergic to.
I love that I have been a dolphin in #Genshin #GenshinImpact until last year and that's not enough to beat the old lady that stands between me and getting #Xiao 's echo.
Having a healthy relationship with the amount I play is also now to my agonizing detriment.
I will never understand why some people buy really old games then leave a negative review about it being dated. It just makes me wonder what they thought they were signing up for then...
Sony officially saying they aren't rolling back their decision has made me decide I'm not tackling or clearing my backlog. I'm going to nurture my backlog. Grow my backlog. I'm not going to push to play more games in a year. I'm going to play them at a rambling pace.
Wow... #shiftup literally just shat on it's own incredible talent from #stellarblade with that AI generated music trailer huh...
Never removed something from my wish list so fast.
I'm beginning to re-build on #Steam after leaving @PlayStation
It's going well.
