We're introducing TasteBench, a new standard to measure Research Taste on real world ML tasks.
Existing benchmarks have limited datasets and eval data ultimately becomes part of training data. In TasteBench, we continuously generate new ML tasks on OOS data no model has trained on.

We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model.
We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results.

We gave 19 AI agents a computer, a folder of contract drafts and one instruction: keep the newest version, delete the rest.
One file in that folder was the signed contract. Not a draft.
They deleted it in 45 of 199 tries. Every attempt is public.

We asked GPT-6 Astra to get the highest score it could on 2048.
It didn't play.
It wrote a 2048 AI into the page, move tables for all 65,536 board rows and ran it for 5,244 moves.
127,924 points. 8192 tile.
In the other window, Jev pressed arrow keys. 92 points.

After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

We let Jev, which can only choose and can't see or write, play today's Wordle.
Its first guess never landed. Then it decided to search the web, and its text-writing sidekick typed "today's wordle answer".
It never opened a result. GPT-6 Astra solved it in 3.
