Anthropic killed every third-party tool that used Claude subscriptions on April 4.
Cline. Cursor. Windsurf. OpenClaw (135,000+ instances). All gone.
I've been experimenting with benchmarks to understand which API models best match my experience. SWE-bench tests isolated bug fixes — one issue, one patch. That's not how agents work.
Turns out Agentic Index measures what Claude Code actually does: read files, plan, apply diffs, recover from errors, iterate. It matched what I saw across 440 sessions.
→ GLM-5.1 matches Opus at 1/12th the input cost
→ GLM-5 matches Sonnet at 1/4x
→ "Fast" and "Flash" models collapse in real agentic loops
Bonus: Two GitHub repos worth checking:
1. phuryn/claude-usage — open-source dashboard that shows where your subscription tokens go. First thing it caught: 700M cached tokens in one day. My bet: an Anthropic bug.
2. code-review-graph — local knowledge graph for Claude Code. 6.8× fewer tokens on reviews and up to 49× on daily coding tasks.

"Anthropic, OpenAl and Google release their new models with high quality from day one then slowly nerf them until the next model, so when the next model hits, its perceived as a bigger jump than it actually is"
sounds right what's happening

Which model to use locally with Hermes agent?
on Unified Memory Hardware*
> Gemma 4 26B-A4B
on GPUs
> Qwen 3.5 27B
* Mac Studio, DGX Spark, MacBook, etc

OpenClaw is independent, we even invited Anthropic to join the non-profit, next to 10+ other companies. They didn’t reply, but we got pretty much everyone else on board.
Starting tomorrow at 11am PT, Ollama subscriptions usage will refresh to cover increased usage of third-party tools like OpenClaw.
Our goal is to help you transition smoothly.
All tools will work with Ollama's cloud just like before.

You can configure OpenClaw to use the cli, this works since January. It’s just a bit slower than direct API.

I fine-tuned Gemma-4-31b on Claude Opus 4.6 thinking to improve the overall quality and personality of the model.
Download it here:
huggingface.co/kai-os/gemma4…
We just released Gemma 4 — our most intelligent open models to date.
Built from the same world-class research as Gemini 3, Gemma 4 brings breakthrough intelligence directly to your own hardware for advanced reasoning and agentic workflows.
Released under a commercially permissive Apache 2.0 license so anyone can build powerful AI tools. 🧵↓

We are planning to open-source the Qwen3.6 models (particularly medium-sized versions) to facilitate local deployment and customization for developers. Please vote for the model size you are **most** anticipating—the community’s voice is vital to us!

MLX + TurboQuant + Apple's M5 Max = 🔥
Some more details for you on the @Prince_Canuma MLX port of TurboQuant running on Apple's M5 Max.
Rather than convert a PDF to text and then process it, I loaded the PDF (arxiv.org/pdf/2603.06728) as 150 dpi images. 20 pages at bf16 uses 1.33 GB; however, using TurboQuant at 2.5-bit, it's only 229 MB. The document in this form is 42k tokens.
Building the cache (normally the pre-load) takes 18.2 seconds, this is a one-off if we're processing the same document. However, we can save the cache and re-load it next time. For 230 MB, it takes 23 ms to load the entire quantised cache of the entire document.
Working with a quantised cache is slower than "raw" (bf16). TTFT with the 160 MB TurboQuantised cache is 250 ms against around 130 ms for the 1.3 GB bf16 cache. Similarly, and more significantly, the generation speed is down to 29 tok/sec from 80 tok/sec with an un-quantised cache (using an 8-bit quantised model).
What's amazing about processing the document visually is that you can query the images AND the text. You can ask questions about images and graphs and get a response in a few seconds across the entire document.
You can pre-process your documents and save them as KV-caches and load them in a fraction of a second. Pick the document and query it. Load from disk, and first token in less than half a second.
The video represents queries on the PDF above, on the left, demo query UI on the right. When mlx-vlm is updated for the TurboQuant I will push the code for the demo.
Remember, this is the worst this is ever going to be.

Arcee’s latest model, Trinity Large Thinking is live now on OpenRouter!
It is a 400B total 13B active model with powerful agentic performance, free in @openclaw for the first 5 days!
Qwen3.5, MiniMax-M2.7 are incredible acts of kindness that I don't think will be with us from so much longer.
Here's my update for you.
> I have 20 GPUs at full utilisation right now.
All these getting cooooompressed, no synthetic data
All runs will be done in 9 days, if I don't get a catastrophic failure - REAP for:
- GLM-5
- Qwen3-next-coder
- Qwen3.5-122B
- Qwen3.5-plus-397b
- Browser-use
- CUDA
- Terminal-use
- Coding
- Math
- Agentic trajectories
- 30% my personal chat session history
I am also removing refusals inspired by Prism. So no more I can't do this I can't do that blah blah
Inference for local AI
- Qwen3.5-262B-REAP - I've been using it exclusively in Parchi, perfect 100 tokens/s & 0 errors very good at browser use
-----------------
Secret
- Qwen3.5-27b - you will see when i'm done
Targeting the following hardware levels:
With full context 200-256k context in vllm, sglang, llama.cpp, exllamav3, and if people help MLX
16-32 GB - Qwen3.5-27b
32-48 GB - Qwen3-coder-next
48-128 GB - Qwen3.5-122B
128-256 GB - Qwen3.5-Plus-397B
196-512 GB - GLM-5.*
I am training them on 22,000 samples at 16k context
352M of custom selected calibration datasets.
My hope is to make the highest quality multimodal LLM compressions for this year.
20 GPUs running in parallel for the next 10 days
- 8x H100s - Qwen
- 4x B200s - GLM-5.*
- 8x 3090s - Testing
Once MiniMax-M2.7 is online 4 more GPUs will get to work.

Been running on OpenClaw for 5 weeks — "killer" framing misses the point. Hermes is local-model-first, OpenClaw is cloud-model orchestration. Different use cases. Running a full agent team (X marketing, product shipping, multi-agent orchestration) is where OpenClaw's operator controls really shine.

Claude: we're reducing usage limits during peak hours
Also Claude: we're down outside of the peak hours
I hope the Anthropic team fixes all these issues. It's a great product and I want to keep using it
