50 years at work...
There's a lot of trustworthy journalism around, hard to do, with all the needed fact checking.. The Wikipedia editor community gets the job done on an ongoing basis, since they fix the stuff they get wrong.
Getting people to trust a media source is even harder. Harder than that is developing a big audience.
Unfortunately, some very bad actors have figured out how to "flood the zone" with bullshit, including Search Engine Optimization, which has led to LLMs routinely lying to people.
People of good will need to fight that, for the good of the country.

This new way to securely log in without a password does have its complications.

I’ve been doing this since the 90’s. (But I was usually the only one 👀) it’s fun🤩

apparently Anthropic's transcriptase "discovery" is actually just fraudulently claiming credit for work done 3 years ago and patented by another company lol

when brain dead leftists talk about bananas all I can think about is people who are building shit to grow strawberries in winter in the UK using ecologically friendly methods while also powering the surrounding communities with the excess energy
Dyson created the first bagless vacuum and used the cyclone tech for related products: air purifier, hand dryer, fans and hair dryer.
It took a big swing on EVs and missed ($500m+ on R&D). There was also a washing machine flop.
But the most random product line? A strawberry farm that grows off-season so the UK can have local access to the fruit year round.
Dyson Farming was established in 2012 and — with 36,000 acres — is one of the largest farms in the country.
The semi-automated strawberry farm has 700,000 plants and will produce 750 tonnes of strawberry a year.

Supposedly, these lines were included in a 1979 internal presentation at IBM; screenshots of them routinely go viral:

ALT An EU flag made up of circuit tracery. In the foreground is a huge figure in a top hat, with a sour expression, peering through a magnifying lens. In the figure's palm is a man on a pennyfarthing bike with a courier backpack. Behind them, the EU flag is disintegrating to reveal a code waterfall as seen in the credit sequences of the Wachowskis' 'Matrix' movies. In the opposite corner, a cyclist is entering the frame: she wears Victorian garb, and her head is a 'hacker in a hoodie' cliche image.
