I'm taking a science communication course this summer and just learned that the word "jargon" comes from a French word meaning "the language and chattering of birds"🤯
Highly recommend reading The Good, The Bad, And The Jargon by @sarika008 which ends by stating that jargon is "unintelligible, unfit for humans, and best left in the trees" 💯🔥 brightthemag.com/the-good-th…

Overall, this study provides valuable insight into the role culture plays in promoting PYD in Mexican-origin youth, highlighting the need to consider cultural context when designing and implementing PYD programs. #PositiveYouthDevelopment #CulturalContext #MexicanOriginYouth

Science-based tools to reduce stress:
1) In Real Time
Physiological Sigh: double-inhale (nasal), then extended exhale to lungs empty (mouth); 1-3X.
2) Raise Stress Threshold
Uncomfortable (but safe) cold exposure.
~12 min per week; 1-5min per session.

Zero draft is a critical part of the academic writing process.
But a lot of folks ignore it and run into all sorts of problems including the writer's block.
Here's what a zero draft is and why you should write one:
