Asaf Rejuwan, one of the Israeli survivors of flight 1073 wrote on Facebook: ״I don't usually post on social media, but today I felt something burning deep inside me that I simply had to share. Ever since the incident where the terrorist's attempt to hijack the Flydubai flight was thwarted, there has been a lot of coverage in the media, and I’ve been asked many times what factors I believe prevented the terrible disaster that could have befallen our people had that despicable terrorist succeeded in his plans. Today, I think I received a very special and interesting answer to that question. Naturally, after the incident ended and we landed safely on the Land of Israel, I felt the need to thank many people... the passengers who cooperated, my lioness of a wife and all the mothers and fathers who protected their loved ones, the children who stayed composed, and every Israeli passenger on that plane. Yesterday, I was part of a group of passengers interviewed for an international channel. As each passenger went into detail about how they experienced the flight, we realized something very important- something you only understand when the dust settles and you get into the small details during intimate conversations among yourselves. We realized that every single passenger on that flight had a role, every passenger on the flight had a role. One passenger was responsible for communicating with Israel's security services I discovered there was a passenger on board who provided a mobile hotspot and made sure to share it with others Another female passenger sat and recited Psalms A passenger made sure to pass along headphone cords to tie up the terrorist Passengers kept track of where we were going to land using GPS maps An Australian passenger was the only one on the plane who could make calls back to Israel from an enemy country (Saudi Arabia) And the list goes on... And, of course, the amazing Yaniv, the wonderful Tzvika and Tali, the hero Shota, the great man Or, and many other great friends who lent a hand. I had no doubt that after such a great miracle, I would be attending synagogue on Saturday morning to recite the Birkat HaGomel (the prayer of thanking the God of Israel after a lifesaving miracle) I am not a religious person. I believe in God in my own way, and I don't usually look for signs in everything. But today, something happened that completely astonished me. Completely by chance, today in the synagogue I read from Parashat Devarim (Deuteronomy 33:26): "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you, and in His majesty rides the skies." אֵין כָּאֵל יְשֻׁרוּן רֹכֵב שָׁמַיִם בְּעֶזְרֶךָ וּבְגַאֲוָתוֹ שְׁחָקִים I read the verse, stopped, and got goosebumps, and so did all the other worshippers who knew the story and understood why I was there with them. After everything that happened on that flight, after the fear, after the storming of the terrorist, and after realizing how thin the line between life and death really was- finding myself facing those exact words, "rides the heavens to help you," was a moment I can hardly explain. I don't know if it was divine providence, a coincidence, or simply a moment that took on a profoundly deep meaning for me. But today, in the synagogue, as I recited Birkat HaGomel, I felt mainly one thing: Thank you. Thank you for life. Thank you for the miracle. And thank you for the privilege to stand here and tell the story. Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱״

A passenger on the Dubai–Tel Aviv flight recounts: “We are currently in Saudi Arabia. One of the crew members attacked the pilot with a knife and disabled the aircraft’s systems. Yaniv (pictured?) and another passenger stormed the cockpit and subdued the attacker. Luckily, there were two more pilots on board. They were the ones who managed to land the plane.” Well, yes. Overall, the probability that a plane full of Israelis will contain a trained assault team, two additional pilots, and, statistically, at least one cardiac surgeon, psychologist, lawyer, and diamond dealer is substantially higher than 50%.

PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS YOUNG MAN FAMOUS Yotam Budnik is a 12th-grade student from Rehovot 🇮🇱 just won a gold medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics in Uzbekistan but was not allowed to compete under the Israeli flag. When Yotam was awarded his medal 🏅 stepped onto the podium, pulled an Israeli flag out of his pocket and wore it in defiance of the Anti-Semitic discrimination. While the medal 🏅 was revoked from him for his courage, he has no regrets "The law that prevents me from waving the flag is based only on politics, and I thought there was no place for that in a scientific competition", he said. The organizers demanded that he return his medal. Yotam said no. Organizers took away his certificate and removed his ranking from the website. Please help make sure the world knows the name Yotam Budnik and that he is not only a world class computer science genius, but also a man of courage and pride of the Jewish people 💙

On Sunday, we asked 7 non-Jewish people: if you could ask a Jewish person one question, what would it be? We then asked those questions to 7 Jews at the community rally. This is what they said.

In 1962, Harvey Swados, an American novelist and social critic asked the Lubavitcher Rebbe if the Holocaust was a unique tragedy or something that could happen again. The Rebbe replied, “Tomorrow morning.” A surprising statement, perhaps, coming from the Rebbe, who was renowned for his unflappable optimism. He explained that the danger lies in the unquestioning obedience to authority, not just in the past, but as a cultural phenomenon. The Rebbe asked Swados how he explains the survival of Judaism over three millennia. Swados attributed it to “the negative force of persecution [that] has certainly driven people together.” The social critic may have been onto something. After all, Jews do band together when they are threatened. Under attack, Jews from diverse streams will band together. But it makes one wonder: what would happen to Jewish continuity if we were not isolated by such hatred? Is persecution somehow essential to the project of Jewish continuity? The Rebbe emphasized that our continuity doesn’t come from persecution, but from a commitment to our values and heritage. We thrive not from negativity, but from the light of goodness and community. Absolute perfection. Avinatan Or’s boss at @nvidia writes to him, read till the end: “Avinatan Or, I hope you have a good excuse for not showing up to work at NVIDIA for 738 days. But every Sunday morning for two years, the head of NVIDIA Israel’s HR, Gideon Rosenberg, sent an email to all employees counting the days you were in captivity and calling everyone to join him for a reminder vigil in front of the Kirya gate, held every Sunday evening. Even the global CEO, Jensen Huang, mentioned your name in every quarterly internal meeting, telling 40,000 employees that their colleague was being held captive by Hamas. How wonderful that you’ve returned home. I heard you have an amazing girlfriend who’s eagerly waiting for you, loving parents, that you work at a place that cares for you, and I also have some pretty good news about what’s happened with your stocks over the past two years.”

Exactly
The pro-Palestinian crowd is silent right now because condemning Iran’s Islamic regime means condemning the main funders of Hamas and Hezbollah — the terror groups they’ve defended for years.

If you’re still wondering why the PM was booed at the Bondi vigil, watch this @SharriMarkson segment detailing how the PM knowingly wore an antisemitic T-shirt. And that is just a drop in the bucket.
