This is very interesting, since the brain has an overall 'clock rate'. A question then creeps in as to whether the whole brain ticks at the same interval?
If this is true, your consciousness isn't "continuous", it runs at a frame rate, similar to an LLM

What Claude suggested when I asked for a term for what AI & XR can unleash:  AIR (AI + any R. Add AI to AR and you get A-I-R literally; add it to VR or XR and the R still stands for reality) XRAI (XR + AI) XI (extended intelligence)

You’re 400 million times closer in size to the observable universe than to the Planck length. Let that sink in.

One of the first I feel where scale, the sense of the people being there, not as chess pieces or statues, really works.
Every time you think Apple is about to give up on Vision Pro, it comes out with something that reminds you why the platform is worth paying attention to. The newly released immersive horror short Remnants is genuinely impressive. I highly recommend it to every Vision Pro user. A few things really stood out to me. 1. The 3D and sense of presence. The film recreates a 19th-century European castle in incredible detail, from its grand architecture and interior layout to the furniture, paintings, and decorations. The 3D looks fantastic. Actually feeling like you’re inside the castle, looking around and taking in the space, is something traditional 2D cinema simply can’t replicate. 2. The atmosphere. The rain, dim lighting, and spatial audio work beautifully together. The horror isn’t just about jump scares. It’s the entire environment that creates this constant sense of unease and tension. 3. The filmmaking. At 27 minutes, I think the length is just right. Any longer and it might actually be too much horror for me. Director Ti West is an established Hollywood horror filmmaker, best known for X and Pearl. Just like Submerged, Apple has brought in an experienced filmmaker with a strong command of cinematic storytelling to explore what’s possible with Immersive Video. Of course, immersive filmmaking is still far from perfect. Some cuts feel abrupt, and traditional editing techniques don’t always translate naturally to a 180° immersive environment. But after watching this, I’m more convinced than ever of one thing. Immersive Video has the potential to deliver cinematic experiences that are fundamentally better than traditional flat-screen movies. The question is no longer whether the medium has potential. It’s that filmmakers are still figuring out its own unique cinematic language. Give it time. The potential here is enormous.

Agree. It’s a process in time, where time is part of the substrate, something LLMs dont have and that keeps consciousness at bay

Interesting
We're working on a new math font. It's a bit controversial, because people are used to classic serif math fonts. Ours is sans-serif, built from the monospace fonts in code editors

The Mac Virtual Display widget on Apple Vision Pro lets you put a shortcut to your Mac anywhere you want. Look at it, pinch, and your Mac screen appears on a massive floating display in front of you. My Mac stays tucked under my desk while I work on an ultrawide screen with my Logitech MX Keys S keyboard and MX Master 4 mouse. You’ll need visionOS 27 for the widget and an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15.2 or later for ultrawide. Both devices need the same Apple Account with two factor authentication and iCloud Keychain enabled, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth on, and to be within about 30 feet of each other. Thank you @Logitech for sending over the Logitech MX Keys S keyboard and MX Master 4 mouse.
