BREAKING: The AP just called the 2024 presidential election for Donald Trump.
We’re clear-eyed about the chaos and destruction a second Trump administration will cause to our nation.
That’s why we’re done with handwringing, admiring the problem, or waiting anxiously to see which unlawful action President-elect Trump will take on Day One. We are ready to take action the minute Trump takes the oath of office.
2. We do not have enough judges, hearing rooms, and holding facilities at our border to decide to immediately send migrants back home or let them stay, which is what the law requires, because we have never funded or built those facilities. No $ to pay the judges. Not simple.
Rural life: Our local What’s Happening blog may have located some missing elements of a Nativity display?? 🤣 🐖🐐🦙

🧡men’s choirs. Slavic music uses the lowest bass notes, adding rich overtones and warmth.
Here’s a lovely hymn of hope for better times, where the beauty is in how perfectly they blend and tune the lovely chords.
Thanks, fellas, for the song.
Review: An ailing Michael Tilson Thomas makes an emotion-laden return to Davies Symphony Hall datebook.sfchronicle.com/cla…
My privilege to sing as a part of this wonderful music-making event with, and for, the ever-amazing Michael Tilson-Thomas, and San Francisco Symphony & Chorus.
Hike this am: 1. Black Swan 🦢Lake. No swans, plenty of Canada Geese🪿.
2. From above; wildflowers 🌼 clinging to the rather dizzying cliff side.
3. Mossy rocks in size XXL at the foot of the trail.
The doggies 🐕 chose to try a swim but we were not tempted into the water.🥶
You know, it’s been a wonderful week, singing with friends. Today, it feels very productive to bundle up a bit and sit on the front porch watching the bees hovering about in the tiny spring grass flowers. 🌸Maybe later, a book. Now, just bees.🐝
@SueUvino My sweet little chickadee scarf valiantly keeps the pesky woolies from scritching my neck. Such helpful, hard-working little birdies.
Replying to @thespybrief
@thespybrief For those who think CA should Caxit from the USA, at the moment, Nature has kinda done that for you. Siskiyous, Sierras, Cajon, Tehachapi, and 395: all impassable. 10& 15 are open, but you can’t get North from anywhere, either. 80 stops dead at Reno. See ya in April!
007 spotted outside the local Ben Franklin, or perhaps the next-door modest but excellent Mexican food cafe. I recommend the flautas platito. Or the well-curated selection of knitting yarns, and picture frames. Really, though, that teal top.
Winter afternoon walk along the South Yuba River today. People and doggies in Santa hats, lots of smiles and ‘Merry Christmas’ or ‘Happy Holidays’ offerings. May the lovely light of this day beam into your lives for many years to come.
So, lots of crèche pictures; very sweet and pretty. Yet the only identifiable female in sight is Mary, a woman giving birth for the first time, in a strange town, so packed with people she’s bedded down in a stable.
Those women should be sitting there with a cup of warm donkey milk, exhaustedly gazing at the sweet little boy they helped Mary to birth.
We need some new figurines: the birthing women, the midwife. Tired, sweaty, but proud to have helped a poor woman who needed care.
