I was exposed to COVID at a doctor’s appointment last week. Fortunately, everybody was wearing a good mask, and I’m fully vaccinated. We isolated for a week just in case; test results came back negative this morning! This is how to take care of your community. #StopTheSpread

Feeling incredibly grateful that we chose to get vaccinated this spring, despite our initial reservations. I know that we are also very fortunate that we could choose to isolate, and that makes it even more important for us to do so!

Perfect timing from Italy in the second semifinal A/B as they overtake the USA in the closing stages with Romania taking the third qualifying place. Oh, and that WORLD BEST TIME has gone again! 😮 #olympicrowing #rowing #worldrowing #Tokyo2020
When I told my husband that this was a 5:47 mile pace, he said: "Well, I'm glad that's the *record*." 😂 #holysmokes
Congratulations @des_linden on breaking the 50K World Record in 2:59:54 #RunHappy
We cancelled our plans to travel for Thanksgiving. We booked our flights, but had cancellations triggers (like increased restrictions), and when they were triggered, we cancelled. We will see family again next year.

Republicans have made SCOTUS nominations a brazen power play—first by refusing to a vote on Garland & now by forcing through a nominee a month before an election. I refuse to legitimize this broken, weaponized process by meeting w/any nominee put forward before the inauguration.

One of my favorite things about @ChrisMurphyCT and @SenBlumenthal: by the time I get to picking up my phone to call them about an issue, one of them has already written/sponsored a bill or made a public statement in support of whatever I wanted to call about. #thanks

After a nice, long break from any sort of structured training or fitness building routine, I’m starting to work my way back, and it feels good. Just ran for 70 minutes and wished I was fit enough to go longer!

When running, it’s really easy to get caught up in the easiest measure to track: miles per week When learning or teaching, it’s easy to get caught up in how many hours, days, weeks of instruction. Neither measure ties well to performance. Yet we often get caught up chasing them
