A few days ago a San Francisco TV news reporter took this now viral video of a huge homeless encampment when she was dropping her son off at UC Berkeley. As you can see in the video, the encampment is a really horrible one. And it's not just blocking the sidewalk, it's literally taking over the street:

And according to another source, two of the vagrants tested positive for leptospirosis, and one died of it.
But here's what's crazy and ironic about this story. And no, it's not the fact that Berkeley is suffering from its own stupid policies. Some outfit called the "Berkeley Homeless Union" (BHU) successfully sued to stop the sweep of the camp.
Granted, these mutual aid dorks and enablers use any excuse they can to stop any homeless encampment from being swept, no matter how bad the camp is. But guess what their legal complaint was? They alleged that 31 of the roughly 47 vagrants who live in the encampment suffer from disabilities, and that sweeping the encampment would violate the ADA. Naturally some progressive moron of a judge ruled in their favor.
What's funny is that back in 2022 in the city of Portland, the ADA angle was used in a federal class action suit to successfully get RID of encampments, instead of allowing them to stay. The plaintiffs, a group of disabled people, sued because encampments were blocking the sidewalks and forcing them to use the street to get around the vagrants. In a partial victory for the plaintiffs, the city settled and agreed to remove the encampments. However, it avoided conceding that it violated the ADA.
So here you have a horrific encampment that's creating conditions ripe for a plague in a major city, and right by a university. All thanks to a leftist judge ruling for the BHU. If you ask me, the plague isn't just the encampments, it's these mutual aid groups. Maybe it's about time people start suing them, for a change.
