The Asian Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA) is currently collaborating with the Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table (GNCRT) to create an annotated core list of Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) graphic novels highlighting APIA voices across all age groups.
This list is designed to increase awareness of the graphic novel medium, amplify the voices of diverse comics creators, and support library staff in developing graphic novel collections. Previous core lists have included GNCRT partnerships with BCALA, REFORMA, and the Rainbow
Roundtable.
We are currently seeking recommendations of eligible graphic novel titles for committee review. Titles may be recommended using this nomination form. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
