💥 MAN WALKED FREE FROM COURT DESPITE HAVING 93 SICKENING VIDEOS OF CHILDREN BEING ABUSED A man caught with almost 100 horrifying videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as five or six, escaped an immediate prison sentence after claiming he turned to the vile material when he was feeling stressed. Kalim Khan, then aged 32, from Hull, was found in possession of some of the most serious categories of child sexual abuse material after police raided his home in Plimsoll Way, Victoria Dock. The disturbing case, heard at Hull Crown Court, saw Khan avoid jail despite admitting three offences of making indecent images of children. Instead, he was handed a three-year community order and ordered to attend a sex offender treatment programme. Police launched their investigation after receiving intelligence that indecent images of children were being downloaded using a computer registered to Khan's address. When officers seized his laptop, forensic specialists uncovered an appalling collection of child abuse material. Among the discoveries were 54 Category A videos, representing the most serious classification of child sexual abuse imagery. Investigators also recovered 12 Category B videos and 27 Category C videos, alongside six additional still images. Some recordings lasted only seconds, while others continued for approximately 15 minutes. Prosecutor Phillip Evans told the court that children as young as five or six were depicted in the material. The horrifying nature of the footage was so disturbing that Judge Jeremy Richardson QC chose not to have the detailed police descriptions read aloud in open court. Khan admitted possessing the material when questioned by detectives. The court heard there was no allegation that he had distributed the images. However, he also acknowledged that he had used the material for sexual stimulation. In mitigation, his barrister Silas Reid explained that Khan, who had arrived in Britain from Pakistan in 1996, would retreat into himself during periods of stress and engage in the offending behaviour. The defence argued that Khan had already sought professional assistance and begun addressing his behaviour. His lawyer urged the court to consider rehabilitation rather than imprisonment, arguing that preventing further offending was the priority. But the judge made clear that the existence of the material represented the suffering of real children. He told Khan: "This is not a victimless crime." The judge described the abuse depicted in the recordings as revolting and questioned how someone with a responsible job, an apparently stable family life and an educated background could derive sexual gratification from such material. Despite those damning observations, Khan was spared an immediate custodial sentence. He was ordered to complete 35 sessions of the Northumbria group sex offender programme, undertake up to 40 days of rehabilitation activity and pay £400 in prosecution costs. He was also required to register as a sex offender for five years and was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same period. Judge Richardson warned that any failure to cooperate with the rehabilitation programme could result in Khan returning to court and being sent to prison.
