Exclusive at ESPN: Major League Baseball will hold an annual Lou Gehrig Day on June 2 after a group of people affected by ALS banded together to convince teams and the league to honor him like they do Jackie Robinson and Roberto Clemente.

The Players Association extends its deepest condolences to Bryan’s family, friends and members of the ALS community. We greatly admired his courage and commitment to the cause of establishing a Lou Gehrig Day and finding a cure.
We are devastated to announce that our co-founder, Bryan Wayne Galentine, has died suddenly of ALS. A big fighter for the ALS cause, he was on many committees at @iamalsorg and he was PASSIONATE about #LG4Day, always driving the group to go faster.

In the 1928 World Series, Lou Gehrig went 6/11 with 6 walks, 4hr, and 9rbi (and an OPS of 2.433!!) in the 4 game sweep. If @mookiebetts keeps this up he's going to eclipse Lou!
On the other hand...Gehrig never won @tacobell tacos for the entire country!
