In 2018, I experienced one of the most difficult moments of my life and attempted to take my own life using alcohol. During that moment of crisis, my thoughts were clouded and I was not thinking about reaching out for help or contacting mental health support services.
By adding the contact details of vital organisations such as @samaritans and @MindCharity to alcohol labels, we can ensure that people who may be dependent on alcohol, or experiencing a mental health crisis, have immediate access to trusted support services. These organisations provide lifesaving assistance every day, but many people in moments of crisis simply do not know where to turn.
