We canβt bring AO3 back online, but we CAN give you something else youβve been waiting (im)patiently forβ¦
The App Store gods have finally smiled on us π
The Ellipsus iOS mobile app is now available for download on iPhone and iPad!

google's harsh policy is exactly why we're saying don't create these drives. no one needs to report a drive for google to notice there's new public folders with millions of views and they contain sexual content (against tos). you're putting us all at risk!
βhey, we looted a bunch of peopleβs houses! yours might be one of them. come by our flea market if you want your stuff back. itβs amongst a sea of thousands of other stolen items. we respect you so much so make sure you jot your name down as a definite no for future theft :)β

would you look at that. theyβre lowkey telling yβall to stop distributing through personal drives and not use those sites that let you access a supposed older version of ao3
Thank you for all the support you've shared! We have no further updates beyond our earlier October 30 post, but keep an eye on official #OTW channels! While #AO3 is down, we wanted to share some internet safety reminders with all of you. Read more at: ao3-news.org/2z5ya9px
ok you guys. itβs one thing to know that maybe on a very small scale (sharing downloads with a couple friends), sharing fics is happening. itβs another for it to be openly being shared publicly with large amounts of people. +

Full offense, if you view fanfic as just another thing to consume with no intent of respecting the writers, youβre no better than people who like ai slop

iβve seen a few of my fics in a few drives, so if youβve seen my fics in a drive please let me know. i would rather they not be in there. iβm happy to post it myself to another site, so please just ask and i can share it to my ellipsus thread.

just a quick disclaimer: if you have any of my fics downloaded please donβt upload them on any other sites without my permission. i donβt care about keeping the files yourself to read but uploading my work in new places online without my approval is a very different thing
i will say i think itβs crazy how quick people were to essentially repost fics when for the most part everyone is completely understanding that itβs horrible to repost any other form of art. like imagine twitter was shut down for 2 weeks and everyone reposted saved art everywhere

if ao3 means so much to you and is such a big part of your daily life that you feel the weight of its absence now, let it also be a reminder about the importance of leaving kudos and comments even if its just a simple "i loved this!" to show writers you care about their hard work
