I took a close look at the Hungarian chronicles to trace their migration to Pannonia. 'Gesta Hungarorum' describes their raids on Ancient Rus' (btw Rutenians had allied with the Cumans). The Magyars defeated them, exacted a ransom, & took boys captive. Reminds me of someone...

Я приехала в Выборг с танцевальной студией, у нас были мастер-классы в замке Св. Олафа, поэтому не смогла посмотреть конный турнир. Однако в моём родном городе (эти же ребята) проводили конные состязания и рыцарский турнир в рамках фестиваля «Окольный город» в июле. Делюсь ~~~

Конные состязания проходили в Аркаде торговых рядов Великого Новгорода на фоне нашего Кремля. В Средние века здесь был богатый торг и ганзейская контора.
