Hey guys, I'm looking for someone who appreciates the depth and breadth of technical work that I put into building this DEX
It's a full rewrite of @LFJ_gg's Liquidity Book from Solidity to Rust
Even the frontend is Rust thanks to @leptos_dev
Plus it looks so dang nice!

On the back 9 of rolling my own auth with @SurrealDB , @leptos_dev , and @actix_rs
I've done auth before in Rails, Django, and React, but never in a Rust ecosystem.
Given that context, in all, it's a few days of work if you've never done it before and really sat down and knocked it out. I have a day job and this is a hobby project, so it was more like 2 weeks. If you know the tooling ecosystem and having done it before with those tools, it would be much faster.
SurrealDB makes it manageable with signup/signin methods and hashing algos.
Pulled in a couple other libs for e-mailing.
Anyone with half an ass in web dev experience and an LLM can put together the forms in no time.
Leptos server fns makes backend easy.
Stringing it all together is tricky, but doable.
Got caught up with server libs getting pulled into WASM which aren't WASM compatible. Fortunately that wasn't my first rodeo and resolved that quickly thanks to cargo tree.
Most importantly, there is no substitute for knowing and owning your system.
The alpha in "time saved" using a mangaed solution vs owning your system, is, as so often seems to be the case, not worth it.

Been working on a (serverless) web app using 100% Rust. No backend server host used.
- Frontend using @leptos_dev
- Hosted on @Netlify using functions
- AWS Lambda functions in Rust (Netlify)
- Postgres database using @neondatabase
Don't tell React 😎
💯

Workers Assets has huge implications for Rust on Workers. You can now serve Rust frontend assets and backend APIs from the same Worker. This allows us to support @leptos_dev, including server server side rendering and server functions, all in one crate! github.com/cloudflare/worker…

Server-side apps and send simple html from the backend is my favorite way to build apps right now.
I like the path that web apps are taking

I'll be at RustConf in September talking about Rust, Wasm, and the web!
🌐 Next, welcome educator @chrisbiscardi to #rustconf!
With years of web UI experience, he'll discuss shipping Rust/Wasm sites, their viability as alternatives to modern JS architectures, and why they've become his new default in "Web Sites, Web Apps, and Web Assembly."

Insightful and great talk from key speakers @iambenwis on @leptos_dev framework and @omiraclx.
Also had the chance to give a mini speech on security/blockchain.
