Absolutely @GarethMcGibbon otherwise risk behaviour will not be seen as cumulatively concerning but occasional incidents. Concern is the TOR for the reviews and whether they actually want to learn how much their parties / staff knew about risk behaviour towards both genders and all ages or how much they want the reviews to tick a box for votes collection. The Spotlight programme @mandy_mcauley showed @duponline members saying they had witnessed risk behaviour and knew about rumours etc so behaviour was known other parties would have been present when these behaviours happened as well as breach of public duty when inappropriate behaviour towards ambassadors again as verified on the Spotlight programme - so a full independent review of all his activities in every aspect , from every party , all roles must be reviewed
Surely it's time @RhonddaBryant
commissioned one independent review of what was known about Donaldson, across party, church, Assembly, Westminster and policing? These piecemeal reviews risk missed patterns, retraumatising survivors & delaying change. @CVOCNI @CathalMall

A decade ago today, Prof Rafael Bengoa delivered his seminal health report; much has been ignored.
📉Then, 226,000 people were waiting for outpatient treatment; now 527,000 are.
🔻Then, 67% of patients referred for urgent cancer treatment got started in 62 days; now just 28% do.
The ‘implementation incompetence’ statement would make any leader hang their head in shame but our politicians do not have the ability or desire to make change for the good of the whole country because this would mean not having some services in their own constituency and that’s too risky for votes- so instead they focus their energy on the past because that doesn’t require decisions just deflection , playground politics ‘you said this so we say this’, defensive and move the paper around the table but whatever do not make a decision which they could be held to account for -
Time to put a qualified professional in charge of each department not politicians who only want keep NI in the past.
Replying to @BenLowry2
It’s astonishing @BenLowry2 .
I said to @williamcrawley today on Talkback that we’ve seen the problems and the ‘burning platform’ coming from a mile off, but have spectacularly failed to change.
‘Implementation incompetence’ was Rafa’s own phrase

Delighted to know the training went well and it’s so empowering to know of a trauma informed approach for young people and HSB as well as assisting their families to protect. @AIMProjectUK @SafesportInt

What I hear as a Rev, is that our people are tired of the stirring of tensions. They simply want to live in peace, & create a better home for our children
May we amplify the voices of hope, peace and togetherness, & remind ourselves of what unites us rather than what divides us.

The majority of us want to live in peace. We want to leave a peaceful future for our children.
Sadly, there are those who seem determined to sow division rather than bring people together.
Friends, let’s stand together, reject division, and choose peace.

You cannot claim to be a “Christian”, go to church, sing your worship songs, and then say that the PSNI should have “sanitised the Garvaghy Road”.
The hypocrisy is staggering.
Absolutely disgusting and appalling language.

You can’t help but think what a difference it would be if NI had professional strategic leaders who put the wellbeing of the country before their own sectarian views. This week has laid bare the reality that public representatives only ‘value’ and ‘respect’ the views of their constituents who believe their views.
Party leaders going on about law and rights as if those two things are automatically the same
Basic - just because you have a legal right to do something it doesn’t mean that you should enact it if you already know that right causes harm to others - sadly often played out in family courts - just because a parent who has harmed their children has still a legal right to see them doesn’t mean that enacting that right won’t cause further harm to the child.
To have leaders who are prepared to stand up for right thing to do rather than listening to constant rhetoric which has its basis in sectarianism
The petition which @KarenSethuraman led speaks louder than any of our political parties sectarian rhetoric which they mask as supporting the law - simple evidence this march is not what is wanted or needed!

Let’s go - an important focus today on safeguarding within equine sport and in particular coercive control. This past week has been a shameful display of the inadequacy of NI political leadership. Sadly we are used to the predictable ‘they said this so we say the opposite’ style of debate. For @duponline to proactively divert from their former leaders court case about child sexual abuse by knowingly reigniting a dark past in our history is shameful. Last week belonged to his victims and all victims of abuse. Shame on you
@sinnfeinireland you have a First Minister who is meant to show strategic leadership for all of NI - the financial impact of Drumcree will punish every person in NI through funding to health, education, policing, business, infrastructure - there are Bills needing attention, strategies needing implementation,
No NI political party leader has the right ever again to stand for photo ops in respect of violence against women and girls anymore given all of their lack of strategic leadership re Drumcree.
What has become very clear on a global stage that all NI political reps are not public reps for everyone in their constituencies but only represent those who hold the same sectarian views. How can any of them say they represent all the people their constituency - the majority of NI want to move forward and need you all to get back to work!! Public services are struggling.
This was an opportunity to acknowledge having the legal permission to walk a road but respect the views of the people on that road and NOT walk ! On other side residents to respect the legal decision and acknowledge the decision not to put it in practice. Then move forward to plan for the future together. But the need to stir up sectarian hatred by a political party is shameful. There was an opportunity for grace, honour, respect and resolution but it requires humble persons to take that difficult road!
just because u have the right to do something doesn’t mean you have to act on it if it causes harm to others / this is basic human respect and humility
So sad to watch supposed public reps focusing on the past when most of NI respect each other and want to work together to make this place the best it can be for all.
Congratulations @VictimSupportNI on your 45 year anniversary - I look back with fondness of my time on the Board and gaining a real insight into the incredible work of the volunteers and staff in supporting victims of crime @CVOCNI @JABunting
Last week we were in Stormont for something really positive.
@VictimSupportNI celebrated 45 years of making a real difference, a real highlight was the fact that Judy, one of the original volunteers from the beginning, was able to be there.
