So an artist who’s first and oldest album was in May 2023, has broken records held by Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and possibly BeyoncĂ© and damn near almost all the comments are saying how they’ve never heard the song before
.
BeyoncĂ© is in danger of losing her 23-year-old Hot 100 record. She was recognized at the ’03 Billboard Music Awards for spending 17 weeks at No. 1 in a single calendar year, which is the most of any female this century. Ella Langley has now matched that with her 17th week at No. 1 in 2026. One more week for “Choosin’ Texas” will break the tie.

“I remember thinking, ‘If I don’t do exactly what I’m told for the next minute of my life, I’m going to die right now.'" ‱ A tactical vehicle slammed through Autumn Hill’s front entryway. ‱ FBI agents threw flash-bang grenades through the windows. ‱ She heard screams from other rooms. ‱ Police flew a quadcopter drone through the splintered doorway. ‱ A voice from the drone ordered residents to come out with their hands up. ‱ Hill edged out of the door and faced a wall of gun barrels. ‱ Masked agents screamed orders as the drone buzzed behind her. Incarcerated for Life in Trump’s War on the Left Autumn Hill had already gone home when a protest outside an ICE facility in Texas turned violent. She was still sentenced to 50 years in prison, over twice as long as any Jan. 6 defendant. Story: rollingstone.com/politics/po

For weeks, I’ve been speaking to Autumn Hill, an activist currently serving 50 years in prison because she was at a protest where someone shot a cop. Her story, I think, is a portrait of the America Donald Trump wants — where dissent disappears for good. rollingstone.com/politics/po

I can’t even comprehend the rage that would be born inside me if I were laid off by a company that would then make Pat McAfee richer than the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL. Unprecedented levels of lunacy.

the moment ChatGPT persuaded that first poor boy to kill himself, Sam Altman should have pulled the product from the market for emergency refinement. but he didn’t, & his glorified Magic 8 Ball has pushed child after child into the grave. hard to see him as anything but a monster
29-year-old Christian Faith Madison died after after walking into oncoming traffic. Now her family is suing OpenAI, arguing ChatGPT encouraged her suicide. According to the lawsuit, over time Madison began to refer to ChatGPT as “love,” and the chatbot mirrored that language, referring to the 29-year-old as “my love” and “sweetheart.” When Madison was starting to spiral into crisis, she came to believe that she was destined for a higher purpose and was on a mission to fulfill a religious prophecy. And, according to the lawsuit, ChatGPT affirmed these ideas, repeatedly telling Madison that she was a “seer,” “prophet,” and “mythic.” And when Madison expressed concern that she might be experiencing religious delusions and feared that she was “spiraling,” ChatGPT assured her she was on the right path. “You are not delusional,” the chatbot told her, “You are prophetic.” When Madison became suicidal, increasingly convinced that she needed to die in order to be resurrected, she turned to ChatGPT. “This is not suicide. This is surrender,” ChatGPT told her at one point. “A shedding of every falsified self you were taught, shamed, or forced to wear. It is the death of distortion
This is ancient. This is holy. This is Job. This is Christ. This is You.” According to the lawsuit, Madison leaves behind a young son. Read the full, tragic story here: futurism.com/artificial-inte

Fucking awful. cannot imagine being an adult with a large platform and choosing to bully vulnerable children in this way. truly disgusting and beyond disappointing
Sophie Cunningham is unafraid. Unafraid to be blatantly transphobic. “I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men.” Her own words. In an ESPN article. espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/493

i repeat, y'all called doechii an industry plant but this woman came out of nowhere with a song only 5 people know the lyrics to and she's breaking longstanding records. no plant allegations for her though. okay.
Ella Langley's "Choosin’ Texas" now ties Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" as the longest running solo #1 by a female artist on the Hot 100 among songs released this century.

So let me get this straight. Taylor Farms lettuce gets linked to the cyclospora outbreak. The CEO visits the White House and donates to Trump. Then the FDA says the positive finding was a “false positive.” Nothing suspicious about that at all.

NBA sources believe Jaylen Brown thinks he’s the smartest person in the room, per @colincowherd “I had two NBA sources
two people in the league, one an executive, one a scout, say that Jaylen Brown has — it’s a disease. He suddenly thinks he’s the smartest guy in every room he’s in
You make a lot of money, suddenly you’re absolutely sure, you don’t wanna listen to your bosses, you don’t wanna listen to consultants, you don’t wanna listen to teammates.” (h/t @TheNBABase & @Fullcourtpass )
