And Trump sent Ratliff to beg Putin, of all people, to open the strait of Hormuz

National Guard members are speaking out about their feelings of humiliation and frustration being involved in Trump's yearlong federal takeover of D.C.
"I will say very frankly that the bad taste that this mission left in my mouth, it actually embarrasses me to be involved in any way."
"I don't want to think about the National Guard. I don't want to necessarily discuss my affiliation with the National Guard. I don't want to fulfill my normal National Guard duties just because of the abuses of the National Guard in this D.C. Mission."

No, MMR does not contain “fetal tissue.”
Here is what actually happens.
Viruses cannot reproduce on their own, so vaccine manufacturers grow them in living cells. The rubella virus used in MMR is grown in WI-38 cells, a laboratory cell line derived decades ago and maintained ever since.
Then the virus is harvested and the vaccine is manufactured and purified.
The cell culture is not simply scooped into a syringe.
Tiny residual fragments of cellular material can remain. That includes fragments of DNA. FDA has specifically said residual DNA from well-characterized human diploid cell lines such as WI-38 and MRC-5 is not considered a safety issue. The DNA is present in tiny amounts and is fragmented, which further destroys its biological activity.
Calling this “646 billion pieces of human DNA” is simply counting molecules to frighten people.
You could perform the same stunt with dinner. Eat a steak and you have just swallowed an astronomical number of fragments of cow DNA.
That does not make you a cow.
A DNA fragment is not fetal tissue.
A laboratory cell line is not a fetus.
And the cells used to grow a virus are not the vaccine in the vial.
I have actually grown WI-38 cells.

APPLEBAUM: Corruption investigations in Ukraine are coming from inside Ukrainian government.
Try to imagine that right now in United States, and you can't do it.
It's as if FBI were investigating Trump family companies, which is unimaginable, right?
TARLOV: That's very funny.
APPLEBAUM: In other words, these are Ukrainian inside the government organizations that are dedicated to looking for corruption and fighting it.
And so, actually, what you have, this exposure of corruption, is evidence of democratic institutions working in Ukraine.
The fact that so much is known, that it's openly discussed, that people debate it and talk about what should be done.
That makes Ukraine right now a more open and more effective democracy than United States.
Always keep that in mind when you talk about corruption.

In my new essay, I write about the escalating, attacks on Canada’s sovereignty — tariffs, mockery of PM Carney, and a push for Alberta to secede. I also explain how Kremlin-backed separatism and MAGA opportunism have converged on the province, with the goal of weakening Canadian democracy.

The Trump administration is preparing to forcefully remove 624 wild horses (about 90% of the herd) from their California range...
The Utu Utu Gwaitu Paiute tribe is
fighting back in court, accusing the federal government of wiping out a living part of its ancestral culture.
“These horses are living culture. They are one with our ancestors on this land.”
Thank you to the indigenous peoples of America who are still dedicating their lives to protecting land.

Trump’s hiding U.S. military casualties because he doesn’t want to be known as someone who lost more troops than Biden.
And now he’s trying to take out Stars and Stripes—the one publication that can cut through the lies and give the perspective of service members.

New reporting from ProPublica just exposed that Pete Hegseth polled top military commanders on cutting the program that protects civilians from military strikes.
Every single one wanted to keep the program, but Hegseth gutted it anyway for being too “woke.”
What followed was a U.S. strike in Yemen that a Pentagon review confirmed killed 153 civilians.
On day one of Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran, another strike hit an Iranian primary school and killed up to 168 people. Central Command itself warned that these cuts would mean “increased risk of target misidentification,” but Hegseth ignored them.
These are the consequences of having the greatest military in the world in the hands of the most incompetent SecDef in American history.

A family is saying goodbye to their father, who was killed by russians.
When I watch this video, I feel an overwhelming sense of pain and injustice. And a deep call for justice. Russia must pay.
The pain russians have inflicted on Ukrainians will be felt for generations. The evil they have unleashed will never be forgotten.
The lives they have taken cannot be returned. The families they have destroyed cannot simply be made whole again.
But the crimes they have committed must not go unpunished.
There must be justice.

Ukraine has already come a long way to the EU. Much has been built on this foundation, negotiations on our membership have already begun, clusters are already being opened, and every such step brings us closer together – Ukraine and the European Union, Ukrainians and all of Europe.
Behind every such success of the state stand our citizens, our warriors, and all our people who protect the security and the future of all of Europe. And who, through all their actions every day, bring closer not merely accession, but our affirmation as an integral part of the common European home. And behind every such step also stand our like-minded people from other countries – true friends and allies, tested by time and struggle, who have proven that Ukraine and Europe are one.
Ukraine will honor all such individuals with a new state award: the Order of Europe. A symbol of the effectiveness of our joint defense of Europe. Ukraine has fully earned the right to have an order with this very name – earned it through its round-the-clock fight for Europe’s life. And all those who have stood and continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this fight will be honored with this distinction: Ukraine’s Order of Europe.
