It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Daughter: “No. But I thought they might.” Dad: “That's enough.” The next morning, the sleepover mom called him furious. Mom: “You embarrassed my entire family bringing police to my house.” Dad: “My daughter felt unsafe.” Mom: “Those boys are good kids!” Dad: “Then why were they there without you knowing?” Silence. Mom: “You could've handled this privately.” Dad: “My daughter tried handling it quietly. Your house made that impossible.” She hung up. Now some parents are saying he overreacted by involving police when nobody had physically hurt his daughter. But another dad at the school said something that stuck with everybody. “I'd rather apologize for showing up with too much help than spend the rest of my life wishing I'd shown up sooner.” So was this dad wrong for bringing cops to a sleepover based on a secret text, or is a scared 13-year-old asking to come home already enough reason to take it seriously?

Barrett “Bear” Walsh was 2 years old. Just beginning his journey in life. He was full of warmth, light, and innocence. His mother, Corie Walsh, had become fixated on the Lindsay Clancy trial and “women’s rights.” Instead of seeing her beautiful son as a gift from God, she began to view him as an oppressor and called him “the devil.” In a shocking fit of rage, his own mother hanged him from a rafter in the basement. Barrett’s life was snuffed out in the most horrific way by the one person in the world he thought he could trust to protect him. Corie Walsh is now likely to follow in the footsteps of Lindsay Clancy and become a hero to the feminist movement. She’ll blame it on insanity. She’ll blame it on hormone fluctuations. The Pandora’s Box has been ripped open. There is a pernicious evil sweeping across this country, and it must be stopped before it’s too late.

I can’t get over the fact all these liberal women have been trashing the male holdout juror all week thinking it was some conservative white dude only to find out it was a black guy. And now they are backtracking because they don’t want to look racist.

From Karl Streed - I BET YOU DIDN'Y KNOW ABOUT THIS: AFTER FLIGHT 77 HIT THE PENTAGON ON 9/11, THE FOLLOWING HAPPENED. A daycare facility inside the Pentagon had many children, including infants who were in heavy cribs. The daycare supervisor, looking at all the children they needed to evacuate, was in a panic over what they could do. There were many children, mostly toddlers, as well as the infants who would need to be taken out with the cribs. There was no time to try to bundle them into carriers and strollers. Just then a young Marine came running into the center and asked what they needed. After hearing what the center director was trying to do, he ran back out into the hallway and disappeared. The director thought, "Well, here we are, on our own." About 2 minutes later, that Marine returned with 40 other Marines in tow. Each of them grabbed a crib with a child, and the rest started gathering up toddlers. The director and her staff then helped them take all the children out of the center and down toward the park near the Potomac . Once they got about 3/4 of a mile outside the building, the Marines stopped in the park, and then did a fabulous thing - they formed a circle with the cribs, which were quite sturdy and heavy, like the covered wagons in the Old West. Inside this circle of cribs, they put the toddlers, to keep them from wandering off. Outside this circle were the 40 Marines, forming a perimeter around the children and waiting for instructions. There they remained until the parents could be notified and come get their children. The chaplain then said, "I don't think any of us saw nor heard of this on any of the news stories of the day. It was an incredible story of our men there.” There wasn't a dry eye in the room. The thought of those Marines and what they did and how fast they reacted; could we expect any less from them? It was one of the most touching stories from the Pentagon. It's the military, not the politicians that ensures our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It's the military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag. If you care to offer the smallest token of recognition and appreciation for the military, please pass this on and pray for our men and women, who have served and are currently serving our country, and honor the memory of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice! God Bless The USA! Never forget!!!

The account of 40 Marines rushing to evacuate Pentagon daycare children in cribs and form a protective perimeter like covered wagons on 9/11 is a debunked fictional story that first circulated years later. snopes.com/fact-check/pen… nps.gov/gwmp/learn/his… congress.gov/congressional-…
