Being told I’m not québécois because I speak English is always funny to me. I was born here, pay my taxes, never lived anywhere else, own two businesses here that also pay taxes. I get it, you’d rather this place be in Toronto. I mean, that can be arranged. Jesus Murphy.

The marvels was really Fun. Low stakes. I really love captain marvel and Mrs marvel steals the show. Kinda old school marvel movie. Really better than what you will read about it. Was the Disney princess planet necessary? No. Was it fun? Yeah. #TheMarvels

Hi @billboard @pitchfork @stereogum ALL of you failed to accurately report the Spotify news today and left out that the 0.5% of “artists” who wouldn’t meet the proposed thresholds earn less than $0.05/m. You actively created clickbait and sent artists worldwide into a panic.

Anyone need me to play some rhythm guitar for ‘em in Gainesville? Doesn’t seem right to only bring an acoustic this year. I mean I’ll play a dumb guitar solo for you too, if you want. Or I’ll sing something in your cover set. Anyone doing Hall and Oates this year or what

in addition to all the more important considerations (those who lost jobs etc), just a side note reminder: download your bandcamp music purchases and if you wrote for bandcamp daily: archive your own writing in case it disappears from the site.

It’s kinda weird that Olivia Rodrigo and team wrote better pop punk songs than blink 182 and team

Login back here to say how much I loathe the suits at @sterlingkaramar and I hope what happened in our building will lead to more tax on these leeches and more power to tenants.

Peak Toronto is a terrible management building corporation doing minimum maintenance that lead to a massive fire, then doing the mimimum for the displaced tenants by installing a generator that will make life unbearable for everyone so they move out and they Jack up the rent

The tenants of the 357 rusholme building are launching a go fund me to help the most vulnerable affected by the explosion and the fire aftermath gofund.me/e7afdafa

Now that the Big Tour is over, a thread of some things men said to me on the road: kicking things off with a true banger: "Your set was great. Watching you, I thought...maybe I could date her mom??"

If you’re paying for Spotify, consider not doing that. Take the same money and spend it on a few new albums from Bandcamp every month and use the free tier if you absolutely have to stream. Artists likely will NOT be seeing any additional revenue… consequence.net/2023/07/spot… – at Berkeley, CA
