Taylor's fight to reclaim her masters was one of the single biggest victories for artists rights in decades. So many artists are better off because of it.
It made the labels mad as hell. And you wonder why there's such a large smear campaign around her, particularly trying to paint her as not being supportive to other artists.
You are all falling for big business smear campaigns because the capitalists are mad she hurt their bottom lines.

Not once in her 20 year career have you ever heard of Taylor Swift going out of her way to insult the career or music of someone else in her industry.
It’s not that hard to respect your colleagues and not be hateful
That’s why she’s so blessed

It's getting less attention bc it was a long time ago, but Pillay was a trailblazer in the fight against Apartheid in South Africa, winning a ruling that brought those incarcerated on Robben Island, including Mandela, the right to counsel.
She knows apartheid when she sees it.

Wonderful to see Navi Pillay’s work recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize today. Her dedication to justice, human rights and accountability to those who commit unlawful acts and atrocities whether apartheid in South Africa or genocide in Gaza is inspiring and shows us the path to peace.

What stands out to me from the screenshots was she had genuine affection for these men she thought were her friends while all along they were laughing at that behind her back, planning how to hurt her & continue to hurt her, & she was never even a human being to them.

You see, Jane Doe thought her friends would protect her. She thought she'd have a good time with them, and then they'd tuck her in. Alas, her friends were traitors and instead waited for her most vulnerable to sell her out to their slobbering loser friends for brownie points.

Let me say this again. The Nobel Committee awarded Judge Navi Pillay the Nobel Peace Prize for her oeuvre, her ENTIRE life's work, including fighting apartheid when some of you and your ancestors were enjoying its fruits. She helped build the democratic edifice that has anchored our imperfect South Africa, and helped so many of you thrive. That you are losing your shit over one aspect of her work, is telling. You will be strong. Her work and its impact are a reality that your venom and childish outburst cannot erase.

If you're wondering since it's not provided, she was part of the UN jurists who concluded that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza. She was also part of the International Criminal Tribunal that prosecuted Rwandans responsible for the genocide. She is also South African.

But I believe that democracy is not only worth participating in when victory is guaranteed. So, here is why I chose to stand. 🧵

That one sovereign nation will think that they can DEMAND something from another sovereign nation will never not be baffling to me
And then complain when the demands aren't met
EXCLUSIVE: U.S. Ambassador L. Brent Bozell III criticized South Africa's president for refusing to condemn the "Kill the Boer! Kill the farmer!" chant.
Bozell, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, says three of five demands from the Trump administration have been ignored by Pretoria. The ambassador has now been hit with three diplomatic rebukes in just nine months for pressing Trump's agenda — including confronting race-based business policies, alleged farmer killings and South Africa's deepening ties to Iran, Russia, China and Hamas.
The State Department told Fox News Digital: "The ball is now squarely in the Government of South Africa's court to outline the relationship it wants with the United States."

#NOOZ SUMMARY
Last night, the president solemnly addressed you about GBV and the recent spate of killings in the country
A NOOZ summary:
- I can read, as proof, here are the names of some of the ladies who have lost their lives.
- Women are dying. Death is what women are currently experiencing.
- You guys, I told you 4 years ago to stop killing women. You haven't stopped.
- On the Ekurhuleni killings, we are doing some work. The work of investigating by involving investigators and those who investigate.
- We are going to fix this using all available resources.
- Guys, tell us when you know that someone is being femicided. You people keep quiet too much.
- We will intervene and someone must prevent these matters. That someone is called government.
- Our GBV national counsel is now available.
- Insert keywords here: GBV. Sexual assault cases. Survivors. ✨️RESOURCES✨️
- Go to the GBV desk at your local police station (I promise you they will treat you well)
- Bad things must not happen at all.
- here's what I'm gonna do
1. the Minister of Police and his band of police folk will collect and audit all stalled cases involving women and children who have been harmed or murdered. And I want this report in 90 days or else.
2. In 2 months I want an action plan on the forensics backlog situation, or else.
3. Every municipality must do a woman's safety audit. Check all the places and things that make women unsafe: Street lights, routes, tall grass, cemetries and such. We will identify and talk about when to fix these things.
Taverns... listen, I'm coming for you.
4. Beers don't hurt people. But I'm saying that people drink too much and then beat women. So, the ministers of Trade, Health, police and COGTA must look at this alcohol thing, man.
- I'm sorry about the street lights, guys.
- I promise I'm not just talking. We're going to fix this. I'm going to force everyone to report on what they're working on.
- Let's prevent violence.
- Men must stop punching, harassing, abusing, being jealous of, owning, being wealthy jerks against women.
- Guys, I'm serious. Stop killing women.
- Tell your friends to stop being jerks to women.
- Just stop it. Okay.
- Women, I'm sorry.
- Men! Stop it.
- You're embarrassing me. Why do I have to stand here and tell you all this stuff? No president should have to do this.
- Stop it right now.
Thanks.
President @CyrilRamaphosa addresses the nation on the killings of women in Ekurhuleni and the national response on gender-based violence and femicide.

It really irks me how people are misinterpreting "you only need to find one person in this entire world who doesn't find you completely insufferable" to make it about settling. It's about NOT settling.
A former pathological people pleaser is telling you that you don't need to settle and change who you are, because you don't need everyone to like you. Eventually, the right person will come along and love you for you. You don't need to settle for less.
