I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points. (clip via @DropSiteNews)

If you call yourself a believer in Jesus, you must categorically oppose the killing of children. "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." - Matthew 18:10

The fact that animal life on Earth has been reduced by 70% in the last 50 years isn’t sickening enough people.

Interesting that this statement of my beliefs has provoked anger among some commenters. Nowhere did I disparage any other belief systems. Nowhere did I espouse religious creationism. Nowhere did I mention God. Nowhere did I say I have the answers. Anyone who has spent enough time on this earthly plane knows that a much deeper mystery underlies existence, and that there are substantial limits to the scientific approach when it comes to answering fundamental questions about who we are, where we are, and why we're here. Scientific fundamentalism is like religious fundamentalism -- it's a form of faith that claims to know (or to be close to knowing) the unknown, and unknowable. The fact remains that not a single human alive or who has ever lived has definitively answered essential philosophical conundrums about space, time, reality, consciousness, death, etc. There are theories, that's it. From my perspective, magic, mystery, harmony, signs, and synchronicities are woven into the fabric of this universe. And denying that makes life poorer.
I don't believe this happened through random mutations. Nor do I believe that time and space began with a big bang. And while I'm at it, I don't believe consciousness is local to our brain. This world is some sort of construct, and science doesn't have all the answers.

So many people are carrying heavy burdens. Sharing a smile or a compliment with a stranger is something I look forward to everyday. A little kindness can go a long way.
I think having small friendly interactions with strangers is so important for humanity

Walking for miles is a practice I've learned from my wife @leeladaou. It's so good for the mind and body.
Søren Kierkegaard on the Importance of Walking “Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of well-being & walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. But by sitting still, & the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right.”

I am still not sure what is more crazy. Extreme heatwave or our (non)reaction to it.
It's hard to fathom what Europe will live next week. Thousands of records will be brutalized in Spain,France,UK,Benelux,Germany,Swiss,Austria and than the East Paris might record 4 consecutive days 40C UK will ridiculize its June national record Germany 10 days 37C+ This is CRAZY

SERIOUS QUESTION: Why are multiple U.S. members of Congress ferociously posting in defense of another country in open defiance of the American president and vice president? Isn't that a violation of their oath and potentially criminal?

I genuinely don’t think people understand how insane this is. In just 50 years, we’ve wiped out around 70% of animal populations on Earth. Not hundreds of years ago. Not ancient history. In one lifetime. Entire species disappearing. Forests going silent. Oceans being emptied. And somehow the world treats it like just another statistic instead of a full-blown emergency. That should scare all of us a lot more than it does.

Deep inner suffering inevitably arises when the human person is reduced to performance, consumption, or a statistical datum. Many young people today live under the yoke of expectations to perform, immersed in an exasperated competitiveness that generates anxiety, fear of not measuring up, and disorientation.

If childrens lives are not respected & are fair game for killing as the world stands by, then all human lives become fair game to be eliminated too. Demonic forces had to be active to kill 21,000 children in Gaza.
