Walking off down the tunnel after changing a team in control with players playing out of position. When we need changes he doesn’t make them, when we don’t need the .. he does… tonight’s result is square on Heckys shoulders… time to go #pnefc

Finally #pnefc have a player who is captain material. After years of people waxing lyrical over Gregan and Grezza in Harry Clarke there is a player who gets what it means to play for North End.

No striker in a Derby game… beyond ridiculous and negative #pnefc… clocks ticking if this goes wrong 🤷‍♂️

On reflection for all the positives.. we still don’t have enough firepower, we are fragile in the heart of defence, midfield is lacking a general… this screams relegation team #pnefc

Times come #pnefc. Appallingly poor since Jan 1st, completely devoid of ideas, no Creativity, shocking tactics, dull to watch.. The club has left him short but even still, this is just a poor effort from a manager who knows he’s not up to it.

Used to @pnefc disappointing every pre-season but wow this last few days you’ve smashed it out of the park.. a championship unable to field a team against Barcelona takes ineptitude to a whole new level🤯🤯

Can someone explain rationally why Paul Heckingbottom is considered a good manger? I honestly can’t see it. 2 seasons of a collapsing team, inability to halt a slide or motivate the best squad we’ve had in a decade & now heading to a relegation battle again under his reign #pnefc

Grass two weeks in a row, we are being spoilt… this week can’t be worse than last week surely? #pnefc

Yesterday I was disappointed by this but in hindsight it’s perfect. We have become a pub team, playing on a pub standard pitch, spending the budget of a pub team this window. If the name fits right?

Something a bit different to Deepdale. Tuesday night Dutch Cup football at @mijnfcdenbosch 🇳🇱

A good start to the window has petered out. Better squad with better balance but an over reliance on Millys goals and young loanees will eventually be our undoing I fear. When the inevitable ban comes we only have ourselves to blame if the goals dry up. #pnefc

Fair play #pnefc really good performance today, pace, passion, aggression and resilience.. play games like that and the fans will be 100% behind you.. over to you Peter and Craig, how much do you really want us to do well, what you do in the next 2 weeks defines the season.

Something thoroughly depressing about watching yet another club who tumbled down past us, come flying back past us because they have ambition..it’s depressing doing just enough year after year #pnefc

Thank you @SteveEyre2 . Best analysis of @pnefc I’ ve heard on radio… everything the fans have been saying all year.. from 8 minutes in it’s must listen to radio for any #pnefc fan. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002bf…

Just when you think we will give it a go with our last chance to bother the play offs against a team in danger of getting relegated. Then you realise it’s April, it’s #pnefc & just 7 games left… it means only one thing… Flip flop time!. Surely TUI would be a perfect sponsor🤣

How can a paper born in Manchester out of the Peterloo massacre, publish such a pretentious and disparaging article poking fun at a working class club and community.. Talk about losing sight of your roots ⁦@guardian⁩ #pnefc theguardian.com/football/202…

Please tell me that Craig and Peter have had the foresight to have the helicopter ready to bring these three to Deepdale to be on the pitch pregame.. while they are in the UK publicity like this doesn’t fall into your lap everyday!! @StuBennett @CodyRhodes @MichaelCole

Left it far too late to start playing , two horrendous penalty decisions ultimately decided it. Tough one to take and still not sure the first three subs were right #pnefc

Greenwood poor, Riis is playing like classic wheeliebin Riis, lack of heart til 2 down. Poor substitutions, Milly is either injured/ill or he’s being sold… just a bad night all round, better team will win despite the most horrendous penalty decision.. #pnefc

After last week I openly questioned what the #pnefc plan was. I’m more than happy to be put back in my place after two good performances. As a critic of both, Woodman was superb today and Riis proved me and most north end fans wrong with effort & heart. #happytobewrong
