The question most engineering leaders aren't asking: is our product, harness and/or developers token guzzlers?

Yup! In a customer env we saw full html pages, base64 encoded screenshots, db dumps ...
How's telemetry different than application or business data?
Devs dropping 10MB+ fields in logs!! 🤦♂️🤦♀️🤦♂️Good luck loading that data in database or any analytics store ... forget about querying or displaying them as results

It has been there before AI too - primarily in PR reviews. Where discussion revolves around the author's chosen solution, or some nits rather than judging the entirety of solution. Now that's moving a step earlier in the sdlc ...
Starting to see an interesting pattern with use of AI, even among the very senior engineers: anchoring bias. Let me explain - AI proposes a solution, after which the discussion revolves around fixing/optimizing that solution rather than judging it in its entirety.
Just heard the saddest story of the #Crowdstrike debacle. Transplant surgeries not happening at a major hospital and a few organs, hearts, kidneys etc being thrown away .. people wait for years on the transplant list, only for some poorly tested upgrade to ruin their hopes 😞
A few years back, @a16z wrote a blog post about cloud workload repatriation. We're bringing back our software build/test pipelines and seeing massive performance gains (blog post coming soon). What workloads have you seen successfully move back?

Here at Cribl, we believe interoperability is good for customers and OCSF advances that mission in a material way. We’re proud to be a part of this effort and ensure customers can focus on protecting their enterprise, as opposed to fighting with data.
When vendors cooperate together to serve customers, great things happen! We’re committed to the #OCSF format because it’s what’s best for customers. An open format ensures customers are able to focus on threat hunting and incident response! finance.yahoo.com/news/ocsf-…
Conferences: the finals of the corporate world. Urgency, cramming, learning, endless caffeine and a party when done 😀
Very well said @gradypb !!
Thanks taking AppScope for spin! Primarily because eBPF would require higher privileges, but also not being widely available.
