I haven’t actually finished this book yet but last night I took a melatonin then fought it for 3+ hours because I didn’t want to stop reading. Which is the possibly the highest praise I can think to give any book.

I know we’ve all moved on from that Bridgerton season but I’m actually not finished complaining about the double whammy of historical inaccuracy and fatphobia that was “giving Pen a glow up by constantly hiding her face with her hair”
Like I know this isn’t the Historical Accuracy Show I get that. But they illustrate her change from Non-Sexual Entity to Adult Woman by giving her a little girl’s hairstyle?? Which would be fine if it wasn’t obviously because they think fat faces should be “softened”
