Reading the players’ letter, and if what is in there is true, it’s pretty clear that Powers evaded every check that ASU has to prevent exactly what happened. The level of negligence and incompetence alleged is genuinely astounding.

It just blows my mind that beyond the bad stuff they did: Edmonton felt like they NEEDED Bowman after his final 5 years in Chicago were a fucking disaster. They NEEDED Babcock after his 2010-2019 years were pretty buns playoff wise. They NEEDED Formenton after 3 half a PPG szns in Switzerland. I’m not justifying a Carter Hart signing, but at least the dude was a good hockey player prior to signing. Edmonton just doing it for the love of the game (the game being having no morals and getting negative PR).
